I have nothing bad to say about the food, I had been going to the Fish House for more than 12 years. Yesturday I went there with my 4 month baby on her stroller. Waitresses and hostess were roude and very unpleassent. They could not seat us because we had a stroller… so stay away if you have babies or kids to avoid being treated like dirt by the staff. Of course yesturday was the last day I will visit athe Fish House… Went to Captains Tavern and everything went fine!
I was very very disappointed in the amount of food I order to crab cakes for 1099 and chicken fingers about six of them for 1099 I expected more.won’t be going back!!

I get a fish sandwich from here at least once every couple weeks and it NEVER fails to be delicious. Grilled mahi mahi is so flavorful and served with tartar sauce and lettuce/tomato/onion/pickle. I put everything on and munch away. The fish dip they always give me on the side is great with crackers too. Still haven’t tried anything but the mahi, but why should I?
Great Lunch. I went there for lunch and had the fried snapper, and it was delicious! Will be coming back for more.
Change of Heart. Just went back 6/12/2011 – I am starting to like this place more and more on every visit. I had the tuna steak which was excellent….my wife the grilled dolphin very good and my daughter clam chowder and shrimp and rice. All of the food was above average and service was also. I will definitely be going back. I think the key is to not order anything with an abundance of sauces…that is where I have been disappointed.This was my previous post back in 8/2009 – Overpriced seafood. Food below par service is below average.New Post – I still think the food is overpriced but we ordered the fisherman’s soup, tilapia, and pasta and shrimp and it was pretty good. The service has gotten better. It’s not first on my list but I would go back.
PAY UP!!!. You may boast a succesful seafood joint, but how good do you think you’ll be doing when Channel 7, Help Me Howard and/or the Better Business Bureau come in to find out why you closed your 8th street location and refuse to pay all of your staff??????How FISHY!!!!!!!
