Best seafood in Panama City! I’ve tried them all and this is it! Better, cheaper, faster! Oysters couldn’t be fresher or bigger… my goodness they couldn’t be bigger! Everything else, including the service, was just perfect too. See my photos; it tasted as good as it looks. All you snooty people who don’t like local mom&pop-looking places can stay on the strip and Beck Ave. Save places like Gary’s for those of us who know where the good food is at! Ha!

Gary’s is on the other side of town from us and we have a lot of closer oysterbars/seafood restaurants so we had never been there before. Yesterday on our way home from Mexico Beach most of the restaurants there were already closed for the off season so we decided to eat at Gary’s. I’m very glad the Mexico Beach restaurants were closed because Gary’s was awesome. I had the Shack Stack, which is a blackened mahi mahi filet topped with a crabcake, 2 large sea scallops and surrounded by grilled shrimp. It was wonderful. Unlike a lot of places the crabcake was actually filled with real crab. The jalapeno slaw was perfect, very flavorful with just the right amount of jalapeno heat. My wife had the shrimp and grits and said it was the best she ever had. She gave me a bite and I loved it. Plenty of shrimp and delicious andouille sausage. They had sold out of desserts so we will have to wait for our next visit to try them.
Amazing!. DELICIOUS home cooked food! Best staff ever! Awesome service! I can’t think of one thing I would change. This was the most pleasant dining experience my family has experienced, ever. And to top off the amazingness, they were playing our favorite Christian Music on the speakers. What an amazing family friendly place! You can’t beat sharing great food and sharing Gods word!
Amazing food! Had oysters, steamed shrimp, fish tacos, shrimp poppers, fantastic cheese grits, in house cut red potato fries! You can’t go wrong here! The food is stellar!
Food to love. Mr. Gary is a great Christian guy, running a equally great Christian restaurant. The food was hot, drinks cold….and the small dining room was cozy. We will be back many times!
Nomnomnom. We LOVE this little place, so far no oysters because of the bad weather the coast has been beaten down with but this guy can COOK! BEST Crabcakes, shrimp…Jalapeno coleslaw! And when you think you are about to pop he shows you key-lime-cake! OMG and I am not a sweet eater but this is crazy good. Very casual and we love it!
