Bad dinner last night. The food was okay, but the service was bad. The waitress got two drinks wrong, forgot to put in the kids’ orders, and walked away from us while we were talking to her no less than three times.
The only thing we would not re-order was the risotto balls. Everything else was fresh and wonderful! Lots of locals, grouper special was amazing. Gluten free crust offered. Pizzas were really good.
Yuck!!. Wow so many things wrong my last visit. The bartender actually made me a WARM martini in a highball glass and poured it into a martini glass in front of me at the bar. She spilled quite a bit and never even wiped it up. Burnt garlic bread and when I didn’t eat it she wanted to start an argument?? Very strange…We had to listen to her complain about being sick. I didn’t even drink my drink. We paid and I couldn’t wait to leave:( Yuck!
Its not the cats meow because my dog wont even eat it.. The worst pizza I’ve ever been subjected to, and the waitress went on to tell me that this is how they do it in Sicily I about fell out of my chair laughing, she was a high school girl and obviously has never been off the island. We ask for extra crispy and we got a limp piece of pizza that reminded me of a 75 year old woman’s lower upper arm flapping in the wind.
Way overpriced. Thanks to misinformation and attitude from phone staff, pizza and salad for one adult and one child came to $44. (No booze no dessert no soft drinks .) White pizza was quite red. Beet salad was tasty but no salt napkins nor tableware in to go bag. Won’t return.
Great pizza!. We had a nice dinner here about a year ago and decided to go back after finding the restaurant where we had planned to eat closed. It was well worth the drive from Big Pine Key. We shared the Italian salad and had the Roostica and Margherita Extra pizzas. Everything was very fresh and delicious. We brought home half of each pizza. The pizzas are very light tasting and not smothered with cheese and grease like most. Our waitress, Ashley, was very helpful and friendly and checked on us numerous times. Her recommendation of arugula on top of the Margherita Extra was spot on! We will definitely be back!
Second visit was not like the first.. When we decided to go out to dinner we decided to return to this restaurant, since the first time I gave it a glowing review. This visit was one met by poor service. It took 55 minutes to get our appetizer and another twenty minutes before our pizza arrived. During our wait our waitress never checked back with our table or updated us with any information as to why the wait was so long. As we waited we noticed a steady flow of patrons coming in to pick up to-go orders. I think they were locals that learned what we, unfortunately, had learned. The food here is undeniably exceptional, but eating it in the restaurant was disappointing. We drove off of Key West to eat here, next time we will dine at one of the Italian restaurants on the island or place a to-go order.
