Misrepresentation. Have been several times and usually have a good experience. Food is very good. However on last visit was very disappointed! They tried to pass off a New York strip for a rib eye. They had rib eye as special of the day and when it was brought out it was sliced. At first I was just surprised they chose to serve it such but since hubby and I were sharing I didn’t initially question it. the shape of the slices (too large) and the flavor ( lacking that special marbled extra flavor) gave it away. When I questioned the waitress she insisted it was a rib eye. Those of us who have a preference to rib eye can tell the difference and I am disappointed that they would so blatant in their misrepresentation. The steak was well prepared and tasty but not what I had been anticipating.
Swiss – French Yum. I love the old world charm! Laura and Michele are a wonderful hostess and chef and the food is really extraordinary. One of the best times to come here is after the Christmas decorations are up. It becomes like a little German village square. Walk through the place and check out every room. Make sure to stop at the bar for a Chocolate Martini and ask Heather to turn on the monkey chimes!
A Real Treat. This is like wandering into the country side of France and stumbling into a special place. My husband and I have been coming here for years and never tire of the wonderful food and great specials. Sometimes we will call ahead for the Shrimp Cocktail and they telephone us whenever Michele has Frogs Legs on the menu. I recommend the Oso Bucco or the Calves Liver, the Filet Au Poivre is also superb. I love the Coconut Shrimp Appetizer and my Gus loves their Steak Tartar and escargot. One of the best little bar menus and drinks anywhere as well!
This is our favorite resteraunt in Stuart!. My husband and I love this place! We eat in the bar area. The chef is so talented and Swiss trained. His wife is so friendly. They are the owners. The food is so good and fresh. Everything is so tasty. We continue to go back for the great food and wine selection. The staff makes you feel like family and the food is always good. My favorite dish is the hog fish and my husband loves the steak special, and the burger on the bar menu. All is good!
Very good! This is my favorite restaurant in Martin County and although the Decore is a little bit dated as mentioned in the other reviews the ambience is comfortable with a great bar that you can dine at and have real cocktails and the service is excellent! And last but not least the food is the best in Martin County.
Excellent. Went there for the first time 2 months ago, then had to go again last week. food was excellent. Liver was phenominal and the lamb shank was one of my favorite’s. could the decor use a little updating? sure. but the good food outweighs everything., service was excellent. thought about trying one of the pricey restaurants with a view, but the food ratings were horrible, I think I’ll look at the water and then go to courtine’s for dinner. can’t wait to go back.
Courtines. The decor is terrible. Old and worn out. The food and service deserve better. A remodel is way overdue.Good food , a little pricey zero ambiance!
