Worst fish in town – it could have come out of the freezer at Publix. Stuart claiming to be the fishing capital of the world. Service mediocre. We asked for extra tartar sauce and lemons, never got it.
Very noisy, bad food and awful service. Twelve of us met to have dinner – a bad pick! The noise was horrendous, the service terrible, and the food greasy. No bread was served and when we asked about it, the waitress said that they only serve bread if it’s requested! I guess we were supposed to know that. The seafood was greasy, rice was mush and fries were so-so. Never again.
Terrible food. On a recent visit to the Fresh Catch In Stuart, we experienced a very bad encounter.under new management. We had been there about 10 months ago and experienced the same results. My partner ordered the large fish and chips which were priced at $11.95. The fish tasted terrible and it looked like sardines without the heads. The waffles fries were hard and not cooked correctly. They only offer waffle fries and are the only type of fry that they serve. I had the fried scallops and at $15.95 you would think you would get a good portion. Well I received 6 scallops and hard waffle fries. The scallops were terrible. The batter totally fell off the chewy scallops. WE ordered our food and five minutes later received it. How much thought went into our food? Not much. WE believe that they had the food sitting there and used a microwave to heat our food. Needless to say we will never return to Fresh Catch again. Oh, by the way we did have a coupon which was misleading. It said fish and chips $6.95 only to find out it was for only the small portion which I am sure was just as bad as the large portion. New management? No, we saw the same manager that was there previously. How it could get any stars is beyond my comprehension. Any one who wants a good seafood dinner should not go to Fresh Catch.
