Amazing!. Have eaten here twice and both times food was excellent. Lobsta roll is in an authentic hot dog roll brought to Florida from New Bedford Ma. (According to the really nice waitress. ). Lobster roll is made with a delicious mayo base unlike any other I have ever tasted. Slightly sweet and excellent. Cole slaw sweet and perfect tasting. French fries excellent. Chowda has a different flava but good. Only disappointment was the seafood Paella that my husband had. This is not a New England dish and sadly did not have the Spanish taste of real Paella. Very watery. Seafood in the dish was fresh and tasty.
There were fresh herbs in the batter for the fried shrimp and fish. The dipping sauces were delicious. Crab cake was fantastic. I want to eat here again very soon!
Been hearing only good things about this place so went yesterday, if you haven t been dont wait, it was amazing !!! Really for such a small place they have a really good size menu.we started off with panko encrusted conch served with their home made cocktail sauce , it was a real treat !! My friend had the seared tuna and i had the blackened salmon over lolas salad, home made dressing orange basil vinaigrette was awesome. And to finish off we both had a creme brulee, perfect lunch. We love lolas !!!11 Apr, 2013Love lolas, it s a great little place to stop and get fresh seafood. I love the blackened salmon over lola s salad, the best dressing orange basil ,
Quality all the way, this NOT Captain D’s
Fantastic fried fish and shrimp! Flaky fish, crisp beer batter, big plump shrimp done to perfection. Honestly, the best seafood around and a great stop for a relatively quick lunch (you order at the counter and they bring your meal to you) Not much by way of ambiance- it’s in the middle of a Publix parking lot- but with fish this good who cares? I will be back weekly to get my fresh fish fix!
Felt like I was back in New England!. I was recommended to this place and the food is great. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of fresh seafood you get. I ordered the crab cakes and they were big and had very little filler to them. I would choose this place any day over Red Lobster and New England Seafood. Portions and prices are alot better not to mention the New England ambiance. I am so glad I was told about Lola’s and will definently be back!
I wanted to like it but…. After hearing good things about this joint the wife device and I decided to give it a whirl and guess what-It was ok. Not spectacular, but decent. The place is small and if you have to sit on the patio good luck with that- US1 is about 25 feet foot out the front door and near the traffic light. The bad news is that the place is really expensive! for what you get I do not think it is great hence this review.I will not go back but I would recommend if you dont mind the lousy locale, tiny interior, so-so ambience and big prices as the food is not bad. I will neither like or dislike out of respect to the fish that died making this review.I leave it to you to make a decision- I shall not return though unless the prices drop a bit- just not worth it.
