For a breakfast it was very good and tasty. The omelette were very very good and serve hot. A sandwich was order and well presented. Our experience was very good a place to go back for breakfast.
We for waited over 1 hour for our breakfast that never came. it was noting special just what was on the special board for the day, french toast, and a short stack of pancakes. when asked if there was a problem we were told that it is coming?more than once. We departed, NEVER to EVER return. I will never recommend this place ever again
I ate here in late May and found the food and service to be excellent. i will eat here on a regular basis. Just moved to Stuart. After living here for 6 months it is my favorite for breakfast and lunch. Just good home cooking at a reasonable price.
Perfect. Funky, family owned, real. This is my favorite place in Stuart. There is nothing pretentious or phony about this place.Excellent food.It is everything that Osceola Street isn’t, which is perfect for me.
Good breakfast, horrible service! After standing by the door for about 10 mins, we were only greeted by a woman who was on her way out complaining about how hot it was inside. After finally deciding to seat ourselves, my boyfriend and I took a seat at the bar. I think our server must have forgotten to put our order through because we noticed a couple who had sat down when we were ordering had already finished their meal. They were pretty busy however I think waiting 30 mins for your breakfast is a little extreme. The only employee that seemed to notice we had been waiting so long was not even a server. It’s really a shame because the food was actually very good and the portions were very reasonable. During out wait It appeared that the owners came in to check on the restaurant. The employees tried to step up their game at that point. Maria needs to have someone else other then herself to stop in to check on her staff so that she may get a true gauge of their service skills. Before they run her business into the ground!
Waste of money!. I’ve been looking to stop in for a bite at Maria’s for the past 3 years, and my family and I finally stopped in this evening. The spot appears to have a lot of charm. Nice outdoor seating area, exposed brick, nice seating areas. Unfortunately the experience was very bad. We were greeted by a gentleman that brought us to the table, then another person who took the order for our drinks. I had asked her a question, when she said she’d return we got another waiter who took our order. Then different man came and brought us the food. That’s 4 people in 15 minutes! The menu is slim, no desert on the menu or appetizers. But when I inquired about allergy information for my 4 year old daughter, to find out from the waiter that all the food is frozen brand name food. Meaning they are charging almost $5.00 for a childs portion of Tyson Chicken, when you can go to the store and purchase a whole bag for the same price. We got our food, some burgers. They were exactly what I was told, frozen. They tasted like they were actually freezer-burnt and then cooked on a un-cleaned grill. There was no seasoning at all on any of our meals. When we were done we were given a check, no question on if we’d like anything else. They obviously serve coffee and tea as there was a station for it at the door. Sad to say it’s been 9 hours since I’ve been there and I still can taste the food repeating on me, and it’s not in a good way. My advice, if youre looking for a nice meal with your family, go elsewhere.
The best for breakfast and lunch!!. They have a menu which is great, but the specials every day are even better. The best for me is the variety of vegetables. They have over a dozen vegetables to choose from every day. Sometimes even more. Everything is fresh and home made. And I can get my burgers and steaks RARE. It’s better than CHEERS when it comes to the sports talk and everyone knowing each other. The patio out on Osceola Street overlooking the fountain is just a bonus.Cafe is always clean and the restrooms are worth a trip.
