First & Last time I will go here. I would say the food was plain ok but still not worth the high price as it is simply mediocre at best. We were treated somewhat poorly, they could be friendlier. Cafeteria atmosphere perhaps best describes it. a bit on the noisy side, music was so loud we couldn’t hold a conversation. Overall a rough ‘street’ experience in my opinion and sorry to say I was very disappointed, The location is all they have. Best of luck to them and future money spenders who choose to roll the dice at this place.
Terrible customer service. We were told there was a 45 minute wait but there was no one waiting. The hostess was incredibly rude and rolled her eyes at me. I guess they didn’t want to seat us for some reason. The whole experience just left me shaking my head in bewilderment. The view is lovely but who would want to be treated like that? I will not return and will make sure no one I know goes there either.
Great view & food. But very loud
Waste of time. Long wait bad servicecramped seating And what was clearly microwaved foodI will not be coming back 🙁
From awesome to horrible. This place has a great location. Easily the best in Stuart. I have frequented many times since they have been open. I have noticed a huge decline in service as well as food quality. Not to mention many of there most popular food items have gone up in price with no explination. I like to sit at the bar and there once was a great bar staff. Now there is a girl with bright red hair and another girl who talks about beer more then she pours drinks. All in all this place is going downhill fast!!!!!
Big disappointment, first and last time for us. What I don’t understand is why would someone invest the money to open a restaurant when they clearly don’t have any idea what good food or service is about! The wife and I stopped in for lunch on Sunday and sat at the bar. To begin with, our barmaid did not know how to make a fairly popular rum drink, a ‘dark & stormy’ nor was she at all curious as to what was in it or even to pick up what should be part of every bar, a drink recipe book. She just stood there waiting for another order. Ok, no big deal… Then we ordered. A conch fritter appetizer, a salad for my wife and I got the sliders. Well, the conch fritters were, at best OK, with a center that tasted very doughy, sitting on some bland mayonnaise sauce with a side of wasabi. Note to chefs, if you are going to offer wasabi then know how to use it! People who like wasabi LIKE wasabi. Meaning they want a ‘kick’, not pale green mayo. The salad was no better than a salad bar, salad, very little taste. My sliders were disgusting, to say the least. The bread was stale, the meat filling tastelss. The cole slaw was, without a doubt made by someone who does not know what good coleslaw should taste like, then there was some sort of cheese, which actually tasted like butter on the bun to finish off what should have been a good sandwich but instead was the equivalent of some microwave food one can buy in a convenient mart. My wife did not finish her salad and even though I was very hungry, I left the third slider on the plate, after reluctantly finishing the second. Don’t these cooks, for surely there was no CHEF in the kitchen, EVER taste their food? Alas, we were not disappointed, as we should have known better! The Boat House is following a pattern of restaurants on the water, which believe their view will overcompensate for bad service or bad food or both. BTW our bar maid, checked on us once…….to give us the check.
First Visit for Lunch, been watching this cute waterfront restraunt take shape.Decided to do light fare today & I had the Sea Viche… Wow.. Fantastic and generous. My Best Girl had the Diver Scallops and though not quite enough for a full lunch, this appetizer was spot on delicious. Can’t wait to come back during cooler weather to enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful outdoor seating area.
