Ding! lunch is ready!. What sandwich shop is complete without a microwave? Apparently few in Tampa, where they just don’t seem to know what they are doing, like this place. I was afraid there still might be flavor left in my chicken sandwich that had already been fried – but the microwave took care of that.

Great Sandwiches!. Don’t be fooled by the name, Bearss Sandwiches is located on Florida Ave, between Bearrs and Fletcher, after previously being located on Bearrs Ave. I’ve been going for over 17 years and my wife many years before that. They never disappoint. They are a North Tampa institution! Great sandwiches, especially the cuban, their specialty. Try it pressed, all the way!!! All the breads are fresh. Great sandwiches at a cheap prices with friendly service will have you coming back again and again.
Pretty Good Sammies!. I rarely go looking for a sandwich to eat. After the 10,000 sandwiches I consumed during my school years and the thousands more during my working years, it’s typically the last thing I want from a restaurant – although I am partial to a really good reuben! But today I just had that yen and stopped by this little shop and was pleasantly surprised. Had the special Cuban sandwich and some potato salad. Both were very good. The ingredients fresh, sandwich pressed perfectly, potato salad had neither too much mayo or vinegar. I couldn’t finish everything! I wish I’d had more time to talk with the owners but it was a busy Saturday lunch time so I’ll gladly be back to try out another sandwich and maybe get a little chit chat on the side.
Wow…joy (and a little bit of fun apprehension). As the sign inside says, there are rules, but the wonderful folks running this great little establishment finally motivated me to sign up and write my first review.I’m embarrassed not to have been to Bearss Sandwich shop before and will now be going back regularly. Great food and an atmosphere that immediately lets you know the food will be good.
Awesome sandwiches!. There are so many options here, it’s hard to choose! but they seem to do everything right, so just follow your heart.the owners are hilarious and very pleasant. you’ll be glad you stopped by.
I have been going to Bearss sandwich shop since I was old enough to drive. My girl friends and I would always stop there before heading out to the beach !! Great People and Great food I am now 40 and still get my sandwich there befrore heading to the beach! I think I’ll eat there today.
