Eat Light & Save. We’ve eaten at this restaurant a number of times this year, & have always enjoyed the ambiance, wait staff, & view. The family styled dinners are a bit much though on a hot & muggy summer’s day, particularly after you’ve been walking around for a couple of hours & battling the throngs of humanity. This time around we ate on the second level, had pulled pork on hoagie, turkey wrap, french fries, & of course draft Amber Bock. It was 2/3 the price & completely satisfying. The sides upstairs, i.e. homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. are just too heavy given the climate & the bottomless platters of fried chicken & fish go beyond what a typical park tourist can eat.
Great Place to Relax while Visiting Busch Gardens. We always have lunch here when visiting Busch Gardens. It’s cool and quiet and you can relax and take a break during your stay. The Crown Colony is the only full-service restaurant in the park. Primarily sandwiches, they do provide salads and family dinners, as well. And their soups are generally good. I like the Serengetti Light sandwich. Thick slices of real turkey are served on an onion roll and garnished with fresh fruit instead of the usual French fries. They have recently added a cheeseburger to the menu, and they also feature family dinners of fried chicken or fish. Service is consistently good. Their long-time piano player has retired, and I’m sorry that they haven’t replaced him. It was a very enjoyable addition to the meal.

Great restaurant. This has to be one of my favorite restaurants. It is luxurious, has an all-you-can-eat menu with great tasting food, and to top it all off you get an exellent view of Bush Gardens if you sit in the room on the far left.
