Solid Mexican Food Choice and a Fun Place. Garibaldi’s is located on Hillsborough Avenue just eat of Nebraska and is very unassuming in appearance. You’ll be surprised what you find when you walk inside. It’s a very homey, family style place with full bar service (lots of telquila choices) and karaoke most nights. The place is full of big tables accomodating large families with kids as well as smaller tables as well. The TVs in the bar area are usually broadcasting a soccer match. Upon seating yourself you are served chips and salsa (free unlike a lot of places these days). The salsa is nice. It’s obviously made on site and it spiced quite nicely. The menu is typical Mexican with the usual burritos, tacos, enchiladadas, carne assada and the like. Service is very prompt and the wait staff is very friendly. On our last visit the constant companion ordered a tostada and a margarita while i ordered a corona and chicken enchiladas. The food was delievered quickly and hot and the presentation was great. Mine was served with rice and beans plus sour cream and some freshly made guacamole on the side. Did I mention the karaoke? All classic Mexican mariachi type stuff sung by some very eager and telented (and well, sone not so talented) people who really put their heart into it. All in good fun.To summarize, for under $20.00 we got high quality food, drinks, and live entertainment. This is one of the best deals in Tampa.

Shrimp fajitas were generous, well cooked and very tasty. Next time you’re headed to Taco Bus, drive on by to the next block and check out this place.
Authentic Baja Mexican. Excellent Carne Asada, and very good chicken flautas. This is authentic Baja style Mexican food (Not Tex-Mex). I grew up in San Diego and this reminded me of all the great places south of the border that I crave. I love it, and it is cheap. My girl and I have dinner here every week with drinks for about 22$, or lunch for about 16$. Forget about the over priced taco bus.
Authentic Mexican!. What more can I say? It’s trully an authentic Mexican restaurant and priced from moderate to cheap. The only place that serves 2 for 1 margaritas for $4 (all day long drink specials). If you are looking for top shelf tequila, this is the place to go to. Go try the fried whole tilapia that I ordered. It was nicely friend to a crisp and the beans and rice was simply delicious. Oh you can forget about the long lines at Taco Bus and head over a couple blocks away for some real authentic CalMex food!
