The rubin is clasic old Florida style. AND THAT NOT A COMPLEMENT as old Florida style when I moved here in 1989 was cheap as hell and also called bread sandwiches with a few slices of meat one chose and the rest filler and bread and there Rubin followed that style as there were only 3 sliced of meat and one of cheese and a fair amount of sauerkraut so tasted more of a sauerkraut sandwich then a Rubin and was the worst I tasted in Florida in the past 15 yearsthey apoligized and made us a new sandwitch which was much better

My girlfriend and I ate here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! Great prices, good food, friendly waitress, and classic 50ies music playing. We will be coming back!

Awesome breakfast.. I decided to try this place out at the recommendation of http://www.tampabaybreakfasts.com/ and I could not be happier! I love this place! I usually get the meat scrambler, which is basically like an omelette but in a bowl. perfection, every time! I always have awesome service here as well. The coffee is good. It’s a nice, quiet place to relax in the morning.

Several Changes of Owners…. Has finally brought Mama’s Kitchen III back to a decent family diner. Being owned by Greeks allows the menu to contain some very authentic and tasty Greek dishes. SInce I work across the street, I frequent this place several times a month, and would reccommend thier salads b/c 1. They are massive in size and could easily be split by two people and 2. They are cheap – most of them cost around $8 with a protein served on top. and 3. The chicken is grilled with minimal oil but lots of red wine vinegar and Greek flavorings, so it’s the healthiest option on the menu. The servers have been working their for years and are the most friendly, most talkative waitresses I have ever encountered. Remember, it’s a family style diner, so haute cuisine you will not receive here but the cheeseburgers, breakfast plates, and salads are all very good and the service is quick and amiable. Definitely stop in for lunch and get a good laugh at the lion mural on the wall, while you’re at it!
