As a stop in place for hot bread and pastries this place has their definition. And being near a few high profile eateries in the area along Florida Ave. does not hurt. The long Cuban loaves are always a good choice.

Mauricio Faedo’s Bakery. Drove by and stopped in on a whim one lazy Sunday afternoon. I’ll be up front, I have no way to judge cuban bread or baked goods in general, but I liked what I saw and I like what I tasted.I appreciate the fact the workers were kneading and doing the bread in the front, it’s nice to watch. For $2 dollars I was able to get a bunch of cuban rolls that tasted good and I assume were made fresh.
Ok.. The place definitely felt like a ma and pa set up, but overall the food was pretty standard. The pastries were quite forgettable despite looking quite appealing. The only saving grace was the cuban bread. The bread was made perfectly and from what I gather from the other customers, is the stores main drawing power.
The BEST Cuban bread in town!!! I love going when the guys are kneading the loaves before baking.
