Attention to detail… The charcuterie plate succeeded in 3 out of 4 adventures. Chicken liver pate with crumbled candied walnuts was an excellent and balanced combo. Despite being a bit dry the duck sausage was very flavorful with an apple porter chutney. The Cobia pastrami combined with a sweet sauerkraut spread was well balanced. The lamb Lardon fell short due to inconsistency. My first piece lacked the lemon gel which greatly tied the flavored together. Even with it no bold flavoring, quite muddled. The clams superb. The chorizo rubbed octopus beautifully and tastefully prepared The pierogi stuffed with oxtail fell a bit short. Heavy lacking the oxtail flavor and caraway crumble just not presenting itself. Where was the caraway taste? I ended the evening with the kingfish crudo. More like a tartare but absolutely delicious. A salty seawater treat. The strong kingfish flavor was balanced well with a cucumber and turnip garnish. Paired with a perfectly salty fingerling potato chip. My expectations may have been too high as I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Some lets down though … A must try if in the city. Get the coffee!!!!!!
Went here for a date night with my husband. Drinks were great, as was the cheese slate we started with. The only good entree we ordered was the gnocchi. The ribs lacked meat, the cobia was gross (told it was all edible but it was filled with bones), and head on shrimp simply didn’t taste good. The atmosphere is very cool, but the food ruins it. We will not return.
Sexual Harassment at it’s worst!. We were very excited to try out a new restaurant in the Tampa area. As soon as we walked into the restaurant our experience turned ugly. 5 employees from behind the counter, including the chef, started making rude sexual comments regarding my wife. I heard every word they said and I let them know how I felt regarding their comments. No apology was given. We were already committed to eating there so against my wishes we stayed and the chef constantly stared at my wife. Hey I get it, I’m a guy too and she is pretty, but please have some dignity in yourself and respect for your paying customers. The food was unique but portions were a little small for the price. We will not be returning nor recommending this restaurant to any one. Stay away unless you like to get
Wrong chef, wrong server, wrong night. Perhaps Monday nights is not the right night to go here. One person in our party of four had food restrictions of gluten and dairy intolerance. The chef could not put together a dish that the our guest could enjoy. Instead the server indicated, from the chef, that one of the small plates could be served but without anything else except broccoli which doesn’t seem so exciting when the chef seemed to be creative judging from the other dishes. On the charcuterie selection, the goat merguez sausage was the only item safe to consume but the serving was one small piece of sausage. Asking the server to add another small serving of the sausage, the server said that we’d be charged another $17 to add that one small piece. It seemed like the chef didn’t want to try to prepare anything outside of the menu. The others in our party ordered the pappardelle, the pork belly, and the gnocchi. All entrees came out of the kitchen separately but cold. The pork belly was inedible. Perhaps this was not the night to try this restaurant when the head chef was not working. We caution anyone with food allergies or restrictions to stay away from this restaurant. Whomever rated this in the top 5 restaurants in Tampa has not had the experience weve had.
Just maybe. Liked certain selections & the one I chose was small. Would have liked a salad or soup to go along with. Certainly w the creations either could be offered. Also found the wine amounts a bit skimpy. Was at a upscale place 2 days before & paid less than my selection($13) at the rooster & was served enough wine to last a meal time. Other companions commented same.
Overpriced Hipster Fare. My boyfriend and I visited the Till for dinner last night in anticipation of trying something new and different. I left disappointed, as I felt the food was quite bland, the menu offered unappealing combinations of ingredients, and the portions were small. Let’s just say when the bill arrived, I spent good money for really nothing. I understand their concept and what they are conveying, however, I would highly not recommend eating here if you are hungry and are that seeking well rounded meal. I would say it is a decent place to have a nice glass of wine and a dish or two to accompany it. But if looking for that satisfying dinner out, this is really not the place.
Great food. Great service. Prices are bit high. The food was spectacular. Lots of flavor combinations. Nice size menu. Wine is priced at a low to high selection giving options. This is a great place to come if you are a foodie. Servings are on the small side. So you need to order several things.
