Heading back late from a friend’s home in downtown, I was hoping to grab a cheap bite to eat but looking for somewhat of a filling meal since I was starving at the time . Not much was open but luckily through yelp I found this late-night local gem. The restaurant is very casual dining—order at the counter and take a seat type of place which was perfect because I showed up in pjs. Also, I was very pleased with how quick the food came out considering how large my order was.I ordered the salchi-mixta (French fries, criollas potatoes, grilled beef and chicken, chopped sausage, fried pork bellies, green plantain, white cheese & guac) while my boyfriend ordered the salchi-criollas (criollas potatoes, sausage, & quail eggs). Both of our orders were obviously made fresh and so much better than most things available at that hour. My meal was $11.50 and well worth the money since after gorging myself I still had plenty to take home for a full meal the next day. The salchi-criollas did not lack in size either and was an affordable $7.25. This one is definitely a keeper and will become my go-to late night eats spot!IG: KFitzEats
