Best Chilean Food in South Florida. The Prices are cheaper than in CHILE, good service, family loved it, i will come back again and again , sorry you all haters that say that food is a poor choice, yes is tipical chilean food , what do you expect?. Love sabores Chilenos!10 May, 2013Best restaurant in Miami, Chilean food. If you want to enjoy great place to eat, home made cooking from the south, this is the place to eat. Clean, well served. Fresh food and most of all ,good latin chilean flavor! Loved it, i will come back, again and again. And again.
Poor choice. I’ve given Sabores Chilenos several chances when I’ve had a craving for Chilean food. The food is ok (maybe a ‘6’ on a scale of 0 to 10); a bit on the pricey side for what it is (nothing special, just typical Chilean home cooking). The ambience of Sabores, to be truthful, is unimaginative and sad. It’s tucked away in a back corner of a non-descript strip mall. The place could use updating in paint, lighting, decor. But apparently, the owners are just fine keeping the place ‘as is.’ A small Chilean mart also serves the restaurant. It is crowded with foodstuffs, over the counter items and cheap bric-a-brac. The service at Sabores has consistently been really poor. I’ve found their staff always with a bit of attitude. There seems to be little desire to please or to attend to basic needs. Smiling is not their forte either. I’ve had to ask for napkins, water, etc. You can be ignored for extended periods if you don’t speak up. On my last visit, when I asked what desserts were available the waitress snapped back that they were written on the chalk board to the rear of my seat. I didn’t have my glasses on and asked her if she could read them off. Unfortunately, she gave me a look and attitude that made me seem like I was asking for the impossible. It’s little things like that this that make people think twice about going to Sabores. Needless to say, I don’t think I’ll be going back any time soon. There are only two Chilean restaurants in Miami. Neither is fabulous but Sabores just lost another customer. I’ve had enough of their mediocre (to not say horrendous) service.
Couldn’t disagree more with the previous negative reviews. My wife is from Chile and not only was the food deliciously prepared, but on a Football (Soccer) world games qualifier between Chile and Paraquay, with all tables booked and reservations only, they made room for us after we drove from Fort Lauderdale to enjoy some Chilean food while vacationing in Florida. Highly, highly recommended.
It’s a shame. This place is hit or miss, and recently it has been more of a miss. The service is guaranteed to suck and to top it off. That’s probably why they automatically add 15% tip on your bill. Would rather recommend Pamela’s for Chilean food, where the empanadas and bread are always good.
Eileen I totally agree with about everything u said about the restaurant. At one point it was a great place to eat and enjoy urself with family and friends. But as it became a bigger food chain it just went down hill with the service and taste. There is a better chilean place to eat it’s call Pamela’s Delicatessens. The empanadas came out as the best in Miami. So if ur looking for Chilean food I recommend Pamela’s Delicatessens the ppl, service and especially the food is great.
A few years ago a friend of mine who is Chilean took me to Sabores Chilenos. I enjoyed everything there especially the pastel de choclo. Throughout the years we would order pastels de choclo for take out. At the beginning they were a good size and very tasty. Within the last 2 years or so they have diminished in size and have become very bland. Also the service is not as good as it used to be. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
