My boyfriend has been a long time fan of Sarussi but I never had the opportunity to give them a try until recently and I’m so happy I did! When we came in there wasn’t that many people there so it was easy to grab a table. The menu is filled with many sandwiches but surprised me with other options such as a fritanga bowl and churrasco (their menu leaves room to eat beyond subs). We decided to order the Original $7.99 and the BBQ Pork Sandwich which was on monthly special for $6.00. While we waited an employee pulled out a tray of their freshly baked Cuban bread from the oven that smelled phenomenal so we couldn’t help but munch on a croqueta in earnest of our meal. The sandwiches were definitely large and stuffed to the brim with meat. Both were amazing but I have to say that I especially loved the BBQ pork which was far from an American styled pulled pork. The filling consisted of a smokey lechon dressed lightly with BBQ sauce—SO GOOD.The service was also very friendly as I believe the manager checked in on us multiple times to see if we were enjoying our meal. After telling him how much we loved the BBQ pork sandwich he let us in on a pro-tip. They removed that item from the menu since it wasn’t being ordered often but you can still go in and order it with your waiter off-menu since they always have the ingredients for you. He also was exclaiming how good he knows it is!Will most definitely be back to try other subs on hungry days!IG: @KFitzEats
Worst service by far in Miami. The owner would not even get on the phone to speak to a long time customer. Goes to show the service they provide. The food was way better a couple years back. Not sure whats going on there. If you want a place to eat where the service comes with a smile, this is not the place to go. They all look miserable because they have to be at work. They also place specials on your table that are not honored when its time to pay. Lost a long good customer. All you needed to do was speak to your customers. Word travels fast. Everyone will soon know about your poor service. No wonder this place closes so early now. No business since service is horrible. The people that used to work there before even knew your name, now these ladies drag them selves to your table. This place is too expensive for the little sandwich you get. They announce its an 8 inch sandwich but its really a 6 inch. The food here was really good about 5 years ago. Now this restaurant has joined all the other places in Miami that are money hungry. They are giving smaller portions. Poor management, Don’t waste your time or money !!!
Extremely Overpriced!. If someone’s idea of a great sub is paying $16 for a steak sub ($1 an inch) that consists of one thin strip of tough Bistec, onions, tomatoes, potato sticks and sauce. More power to them.Hundreds of other latin sandwich shops in Miami with better value.
