Au Pch Mignon is the kind of pastry shop with so many items that it takes you 10 minutes to make a decision. We decided on the Cinnamon Roll and Ham & Swiss Croissant which were delicious. After adjusting to the whipped cream; which isnt as sweet as the American style, I also enjoyed the Key Lime Tart. The Macarons/Macaroons had a decent flavor but were not for me.I love the convenience of the downtown location but the parking situation is a bit tight. Of course, Im a true Floridian who’s used to parking in Walmart size parking lots everywhere I go. 😉 Even the overflow parking at the top of the hill could be difficult for people with huge trucks or SUVs.Ill definitely be back!
Semi decent pastries-the croissants are flaky but the eclairs didn’t quench my ‘pate a choux’ craving. Slightly overpriced sandwiches. The coffee is really not very good at all. The one cake that I have tried was just ok-a little dry. I may give them another try sometime when I’m out that way but the attitude of employees and patrons is a little too snotty for me.
Oh man, I was thoroughly pleased by these FLAVORS. Had a quiche, a veggie sandwich, peach tea, and a chocolate mousse cup with fruit on top. Never had anything like it. I’m not European enough to be able to describe it. Go there now. Why hadn’t I ever been? Why haven’t YOU been? Go. Also bought some fresh whole wheat bread that’s just divine.
