Just had a Saturday night date with the hubby and he was eager to go there for the seafood/pasta dishes. It’s been many years since I ever entered a Carrabba’s and was not disappointed. It was the rush hour, 6:30, and we called ahead for seating and were promptly given a booth as requested. Wait staff, Sam, was quick to appear at the table offering our choice of beverages and the menu. He quickly reappeared with the beverages and a basket of warm, yummy bread and a saucer with Italian herbs and olive oil for dipping. Unfortunately, the iced tea turned out to be so weak that it was more like tea infused water, but the bread and dipping sauce were scrumptious. Hubby had a seafood and pasta with vodka sauce and I ordered the lamb chops. It’s very unusual to find lamb chops on any restaurant menu ever and I was delighted to find this offering. Hubby had a house salad which he claimed was great and shared a bite with me and I agreed. Main courses arrived, but no spoons provided for the pasta which we both thought was strange. His linguine and my fettuccine really needed spoons for proper eating and we had to ask for them, which were quickly provided. Hubs loved the dish except that the pasta was over cooked for him, but he like very al dente pasta. I have to say that the lamb chops were delicious, but under cooked, although I had agreed with the server that medium rare was perfect. They were still to raw for me and I sent them back for more cooking which was performed in a very short time and returned to me at perfect done-ness. So much food and so tasty with great wait staff, very attentive. We brought a lot home for at least one more meal. We enjoyed our rare date night and will most likely visit Carrabbas again. Thank you Sam, you did a wonderful job.

Black hairs in salad. We ordered one of the specials and were disappointed. Pork chops were supposed to be stuffed with cheese, but were completely empty. They were sliced, but nothing had been inserted. They were good, but not what I ordered. Salad also had hair from waitress.

I have been eating here since it first opened. It’s true, the prices have gone up significantly and portions are often smaller (ex. Spiedino de Mare). There are also some times where food isn’t served warm or is lacking seasoning (happened with chicken Piccata and mashed potatoes). Service has been verygood for the most part. The menu has changeda lot but offers agood variety and some healthier options. A bright note is the Amore Mondays specials, you get a lot of food for your money, especially the portion of the calamari appetizer. Not the best Italian food in town, but it is decent. I highly suggest joining the Amici club for the 20% off coupons.
