I agree that the food isn’t that great, but it is cheap and plentiful like most Mexican restaurants. Drinks were okay, although served in plastic cups which was lame. It was very crowded on Cinco de Mayo this year, and the long wait was to be expected. Overall not a remarkable place, I probably wouldn’t go again.

Tried to like it.. Went there for lunch with my former boss. Lunch was very good and I may return for that. Took the family there for dinner three times since then – the frozen margaritas were not ready on two of those visits! On the last visit, our waiter was in too big a hurry to listen to our orders. For dessert, we ordered one flan and got two. That’s OK, but we really didn’t want that much dessert and of course it raised the final bill.After those visits, my wife declared she just doesn’t like the food as much as when we went to El Tapatio (that’s where this staff came from), or as much as she likes Pepper’s. I’m not a big fan of Pepper’s, so we’re back to El Patron. It’s a lot further drive, but the margaritas are always ready and the food is a touch better.Sorry, guys. Like the title says, we tried to like it.
Food. Since this is a new Mexican restaurant in east of town we wanted to give it a try. The service was awesome with a family atmosphere. The mixed drinks were okay for the price. The food was horrible and we were so disappointed. We thought maybe the food tasted terrible because this was there first week. We tried it a second time…nope it was terrible…save your money and go elsewhere!!
