The best places for food often look like this makeshift, modest; there for one reason alone. If you’re looking for delicious, smokey, sweet, tangy goodness and not much else, this is your place. The owner will hand over your pulled pork sandwich with a smile or friendly nod. After that, no more pleasantries – just the best slow cooking in Tallahassee. They smoke the pork all day, here, so you’re sure to get full pork flavor and a smokiness that hangs tight under a rich and tangy sauce. The fries and beans are serviceable. There appeared to be only outdoor seating, so not an occasion place, and not for a rainy day.
Hole-in-the-Wall Does It Again! Got there and Mr Henry was extremely hospitable from the jump. Fixed our drinks then bout 7 minutes later, asked if we needed refills. He had Kool-Aid! WHAT restaurant has the golden juice from our childhood??!!! This one! I ordered the Bar-B-Q ribs with mac and cheese and okra with tomatoes, my Daughter had the smoked sausage with fries and her Mom had the fried catfish with the mac and cheese and fried okra. EVERYTHING was hot, fresh and slamming!!! Ribs were tender, falling off the bone and not over sauced…..sausage had just enough burnt on it with a nice crispy snap when ya bite it…….and the catfish was seasoned so well. Went another time and got a few chicken wings. I believe in making sure great spots and great service get the props they deserve and words simply don’t do this place justice. Mr Henry really knows how to do food and his customers right.
Great meal. My sister and I ate here for the first time. We both had pulled pork sandwiches with Mac and cheese, beans, fried okra and coleslaw between the two of us. We had great service from Henry. We were very comfortable sitting outside with large fans and shades. We will definitely come back again.
Outstanding!!. I’ve been here 3 times in the past week! The food is delicious and the owner is awesome. Great prices for great food. Highly recommended.
Curbside is true authentic bbq with some of the best smoked pulled pork I’ve ever had and the best I’ve had in Tallahassee. Down home place with low prices and real bbq. Baked beans and okra were outstanding too. I’ll definitely be going back
Great Pulled Pork. I must admit I’m not a fan of the sauce, I attribute that to being from NC and liking the vinegar style. However the pulled pork was excellent and I loved the fact they have fried okra. The service here was also wonderful.
