Hidden gem. Great food with excellent flavor. Servers are on point and know the menu. This is the kinda place you wanna take a date, small and cozy, the portion sizes are really small, left the place still hungry was my only problem.
Sub-par experience, awful service, overpriced and low quality meals.. An awful experience. Pathetic service, pathetic excuse for a $28 meal.Service = a young guy who was terrible. My meal was unacceptable, after the meals were delivered he disappeared and did not reappear until everybody was nearly finished. The wine served was clearly short pours — for $12 glasses of wine — they were about 3 ounces – short pours on overpriced wines. There was nothing to do about it except leave the dinner party and go to the bar to ask questions. When the waiter came to ask how the meals were he did so in order to fill the requirement of asking and quickly left without waiting for a reply. The Food – The portions were so small it wouldn t have filled a hungry chicken. I m a guy that weighs in at 185 pounds so I am not a big eater, but I do enjoy a nice meal. This wasn t.I ordered Grouper with Ratatouille. The Grouper was about 3 ounces, about the size of my thumb. The Ratatouille amounted to about ONE TABLESPOON. Has there been a market run on Ratatouille? I swear to God — the Ratatouille was about 6 thin slices of squash over a thin, brushed coating of sauce. Ratatouille is assorted vegetables, I got one thin slice of each. Had the waiter thought to return to the table and actually ask a question I would have ordered a side of vegetables. I didn t have the chance. And the fish was heavily SALTED.I used to love Cypress. I m in no hurry to return there, I will not make a point of doing so.My opinion – IMHO Cypress no longer rates even as a sub-par experience. Low-quality meals over-priced and rotten service. Avoid. There are truly great restaurants in Tallahassee pick any of these, you ll have a better time, better food and spend less –BonefishFGF,Avenue,Andrews 228,Madison Social (even this is superior to Cypress)Front porchKool BeanzMoZaikProvence
Brought my parents here for the first time. We were disappointed by the brunch and the food took too long for nothing that complicated. I definitely won’t be back.
Excellent Restaurant!. We had dinner here on a Wednesday evening…the food was delicious and the service (Carson) was excellent!
This was a fantastic place! While my options were extremely limited as a vegetarian, their Cypress Vegetarian dish was amazing!!! My boyfriend ordered the yellowfin tuna dish and absolutely loved his meal as well. I would definitely suggest this place and will definitely be going back.
Came through area due to work & luckily discovered this gem! Amazing & quaint location. The food was interesting and ultramodern. Definitely will return here.
