Nice folks, large portions, tasty and fresh. Not fancy, but fine if you want just good food. I am allergic to dairy, and Tex-Mex is problematic for me because of its reliance on cheese and sour cream. But the food here was delicious even without the addition of cheesy goodness. Note for celiacs: the chef wasn’t sure if the chips were safe for wheat allergies. But you can get whatever you want as a rice bowl.

This place is fantastic. The employees are beyond friendly, I’ve been there many times and they’re always extremely polite. The portions are big, everything is super fresh! Go there!
Authentic. Good. Cheap. I was surprised at the quality of food and price. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Tallahassee.
Super good. This place is basically an authentic version of a Chipotle or Moe’s. You can get all the same stuff (burritos, bowls, tacos) and a few other things, but all of it is way better than what you’d find at those other places. It’s not that the other places are bad, it’s more that this place is just fantastic. They have all the same meat options plus more including fish and al pastor (bbq pork). The only other place in town I know of that serves al pastor is La Tiendita and they are also fantastic. Portions are very big especially considering the price. I paid $6 for 3 soft tacos that were absolutely loaded down with stuff. I got one carnitas, one barbacoa, and one al pastor. All were delicious. Side of guac was reasonably priced and also delicious. In addition to standard fountain drinks they also had horchata and some other homemade beverages. Service was very friendly but a tad slow (it seemed like they were short staffed the day I went – one guy working the line and register with a few folks in the back, and they also had a delivery coming in at the same time). I’m guessing I just hit a spot of bad timing in that regard.I’ve been telling all my friends about this place. It’s fantastic, tied with or maybe even better than La Tiendita for best Mexican food in town.
