My entree (shrimp diablo) was ok, but the salsa was bland red water – a few chopped onions in there I think- and the margarita tasted like Gatorade. Seriously. Gatorade with salt on the rim. Not happy.
Roughly the Worst Tex-Mex I’ve Ever Had. I think I might have had one Tex-Mex meal worse than what I had at El Patron, but it would come a close second worst. The sauce on the enchiladas tasted like someone used an Italian-seasoned tomato sauce rather than a Tex-Mex enchilada sauce. Has no one in Tallahassee ever eaten real enchiladas? The service was great, but the food dismal. It may be what I’m calling the Tallahassee Effect. We were there for a couple of days and ate in a number of restaurants. All of them were terrible. In all of my travels I’ve never seen a place with such widespread food failures.
Love this place!!! First of all, 2 for 1 margaritas all the time which is great! Secondly, every food item I’ve tried has been delicious, and they give you free chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. And the place is always busy when I go but there’s never been a wait to be seated so it’s perfect. One of my favorite places in tallahassee.
Awful service!. Never in my life have I ever had to raise my voice at a waiter! I got 2 drinks and some queso and it took almost 3 hours to get in and out of there! I waited for my check for 30-45 minutes and even talked to the manager and nothing was sped up as far as serving my table! And there was another table suffering the same wait that was sitting next to us! Never going back ever!

Favorite Mex. We’ve been there many times. The first visits, the service was so-so, but it has improved. Very good food, presented nicely. Affordable Friday night dinner, even with the excellent margaritas. A bit loud at times. If you want to visit try the patio – it’s quieter.
