Ehh…The Gordo’s Catch of the Day sandwich with blackened Mahi-Mahi I ordered was just OK, I would not order it again and should have gone for one of their pork sandwiches. Their service was slack and on a snails pace; it took five of us on our lunch break an hour and a half to get out of there and we just had sandwiches. I doubt I’ll return.
Gordos has been here a long time. It is your basic college area eatery. Their Empanadas are very good. If you are looking for a quick bite that is filling, then Gordos is worth trying
NO. That is all I have to say about this place. I will never dine here again. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever received. It takes a lot to enrage me but I could not tolerate the disrespect and …service any longer. Aside from the fact that the wait is ridiculously long and the food mediocre, the entire restaurant is run by a group of inconsiderate and unprofessional imbeciles. Not only did they lose my DEBIT CARD but then refused to take responsibility for it. Claiming that it was a mistake and I shouldn’t be upset with them. OH but they did manage to charge my card before they lost it TWICE. I am filing a police report. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE EATING HERE. I would rate this place a 0 but the site won’t allow it.
If you’ve had authentic Cuban food, Gordo’s is probably not the place for you. But, good latin food is hard to find in Tallahassee and Gordo’s is a fun, affordable option.
Service. Food here is excellent but the service… Not so much. Every time I’ve been here I end up waiting 30 minutes for a refill on my drink or for the check. The only reason anybody puts up with the horrible service is because the food is so good.
Parking lot sucks. I could hear two songs playing over the loudspeakers at the same time. It sucked.
Good Food- Bad Service. I have to echo the comments of many. While they probably have the best cuban food in town, the service at the Market Street location is horrendous. The last couple of times we ate there, the waitress had a vibe that they just didn’t want to be there. Just sort of blah… I do enjoy the food so I can over look it.
