There is a restaurant desert in this party of town. So, for Japanese food out there, it is the best option. The service is always good. The restaurant is always clean. The meal is always a solid experience.

So-so sushi, though not a place I would come back for more. The rice was well prepared in texture and season, however was warm in the pieces of nigiri. Of the five different fish cuts on the nigiri I had two were very good, the salmon and escolar, though the ahi tuna was flavorless and the red snapper and yellow tail were kinda fishy and texture was off. The service is was really good and the restaurant sadly smelled like the Subway next door.

BLAND, BLAND, BLAND!!!. I am a true foodie in every sense of the word… I love great food and great atmosphere’s and will pay top dollar for some good sushi! This has to be in the bottom three of over 50 places I have eaten sushi. I took my cousin along as we enjoy eating all around Tallahasee and the surrounding areas. She and I were sadly disappointed in the food here mainy because it had no flavor. We ordered the dinner bento boxes, which came with miso soup and salad, we also ordered the calamari app… The soup was grainy and flavorless, the salad was just lettuce with huge ribs that should have been removed, the ginger dressing was bland and watered down. The calamari salad never came until I had to ask where it was once dinner arrived. We also ordered the spider roll and the 4 in love maki sushi. So onto the bento box dinners… crispy egg rolls but again… flavorless (but was the best thing I had all night aside from my drink). The Yaki shrimp udon is what I ordered. The udon noodles were so overcooked that they swelled to an enormous mushy mess, the amount o shrimp was laughable and the fried rice was flavorless as well. Cousin ordered Tempura shrimp which looked beautiful but to follow the ongoing theme of the night…. tasteless! Calamari came out (finally) and yup… you guessed it… No Flavor! Everything tasted the same but had a different sauce drizzled on it which by the looks of it were only two sauces (spicey mayo, or a sweet honey sauce). The place was pretty clean but very, very small inside this little storefront. I personally will not be going back and although the people seemed nice enough, this was a huge disappointment for me… Masa and Azu Lucy Ho’s will continue to be my favorites in town but I will continue to keep an open mind …or shall I say mouth 🙂 and try others.09 Dec, 2013Not worth it!!!. Hit the spot. This was the first HASU I had eaten at in Tallahassee. We were there around 5:30, so the restaurant was pretty much empty. It was also a little too warm in the restaurant (which worries me when it comes to serving sushi). My husband and I both got the dinner bento boxes. I got the veggie tempura one and he got the chicken teriyaki one. His chicken was nothing special, but my tempura was delicious! Also, the ginger dressing on the salad was perfect. You get quite a bit of food with the bento, so overall it was worth it for what I was in the mood for. Will revisit in the future.
