Everything feels cheap except the price. Everything there seems cheap. Quality, service and portions.You have to wonder where they buy chicken wings so small. Even on 58 cent wing day I felt cheated. Add to it the wings were way over cooked. Service is questionable. Long wait to order and the table next to us was not cleaned during the our visit.. Dirty dishes and glasses just sat there. We even watched a server walk up to it; check her phone and then walk away. They even charge for a dressing for the wings for a small cup.We used to go a lot after playing softball, but they have lost this customer. I’m done with them12 Jan, 2010Wait till Spring. For some unknown reason mgmt either refuses to turn on the heat or have it fixed according whoever you ask. So despite the excellent service and the good food and reasonable lunch specials it is freezing in this place. It was 54 degrees on the thermostat behind the bar at lunch one day when we went. I called the mgmt office who basically blew me off with no explaination.So if you want some typical bar food that does taste good and excellent servers…only go when the temp outside is over 70. At least they have an A/C when it is warm
Dirty dingy smelly and bad attitude the whole idea that that’s how it’s supposed to be is wrong have you forgot it’s called hospitality the greasy mess that they call food it’s gross but if you want wings that taste like they were fried for 2 hours then drenched in sauce go there but if you are looking for good food avoid this place
Repeat customer. The veggie gyro and gyro salad are excellent. They probably strike the best balance in town between having a lot of variety when it comes to Americanized food and the quality of it.
Great service, waitress was Kristen. We ordered a hamburger and a fish sandwich. Both entrees were hot and tasty and more than either of us wanted to eat!
Have been to the hobbit numerous times and the food is always great even on game days. Sometimes service is a little slow due to how busy the place can get but I always leave happy and full. I would recommend this place as a great family sports bar to watch games or hang with friends.
Let me start by saying that I hope that this was an off night. We are new to the Tallahassee area, and were excited to try this establishment, mostly because of the name. We are big fans of all of Tolkien’s writings. We were hoping for a Hobbit hole feel, but got instead a sports bar, with karaoke. The food unfortunately was mediocre typical sports bar fare. Seating was not comfortable either. The one redeeming quality was the service. Our server was friendly. So, if you are into the sports bar scene, you may enjoy it here, but don’t be lured in by the name.
