The Hobbit is your typical sports bar with decent bar food – fair and nothing fancy. Their service is also friendly and quick which makes the open and sterile atmosphere enjoyable.
A longtime staple of the campus area, it’s typical bar food. They do have good hoagies, but the place is a dump…I still eat here on occasion, when I want a good Philly cheesesteak
Service sucks. Got to Hobbit and there were 4 customers in the establishment besides me and my buddy. Basically all 10 of the people who were working here were standing next to the drink machines just talking and not helping us. Waited 10 minutes for service and a group of guys got help before we did when they first walked in. Really bad service equals a bad tip!
Poor Service. The customer service is very poor, I would not recommend anyone to this location. If you would like food from here go to one of the other locations. After getting my food and immediately didn’t like the coleslaw so I sat it aside and didn’t eat it. After finishing my other items I told my server and she STILL brought me the bill with the coleslaw on it. I asked to speak with the manager, to add on to the sadness the manager was not willing to take that off my ticket. He would NOT give me my money back! He offered to give me fries; I told him I just had eaten fries and I was full and that I didn’t want anything else, I just wanted that to be taken off my bill. He wouldn’t do it. I thought great service and customer satisfactory was about the customer, well not here. Do not waist your money here.

I have visited this hobbit for lunch on several occasions food is always great and I like the large drink cups. Service can be hit or miss mostly due to the location in the college area of town. It’s still a great sports bar with great food not as family oriented due to location but I would recommend it along with the other hobbit locations.
