Not bad at all, I found their sushi to be above average when compared to other sushi spots in Tallahassee. I had their Sushi Lunch, which came with Miso Soup and a House Salad, and included a piece of nigiri of Maguro (Tuna), Saba (Mackerel), Sake (Salmon), Hirame (Flounder), Escolar (White Tuna), and a California Roll. As for the Miso Soup, it was not that good and the House Salad was all ginger dressing. The Nigiri was above par, the rice was well seasoned and the texture was right on. The fish cuts were fresh and very flavorful, particularly the Hirame and Sake, as well the Saba was not over pickled as you find at most sushi spots. The California Roll was great, I prefer the version with roe, however their avocado in the roll was so buttery and delicious it made it great. I do plan on coming back and if they are consistent, I will raise my rating.
This place has pretty good sushi most of the time. However, the service that I received was below subpar. The waiter looked like he did not want to be working. I ordered the lunch special and asked for cream cheese and tempura flakes to be added into two of my rolls. I am aware of the extra charge. When the sushi came my order was wrong. The server forgot to tell the sushi chefs about my special instructions. When I told him about this discrepancy he looked at me as if it was my fault. My sushi was not enjoyable to eat because it did not meet my specifications.
