Best Mexican north of the Boarder. This place is by far the best Mexican in Tallahassee. I have traveled all over and had lots of Mexican but most often it is tex mex. this is authentic. Being that the owner and most of the staff are in fact Mexican and these dishes are often what they would eat at home. the staff is friendly and take their time with you at the tables. I never hesitate to bring my children there as the staff is always friendly to them as well. I have never had a bad dish here and an honest Mexican food lover would agree. I will continue to go back as often as I can.
Impressed! Vegetarian Friendly. We dropped in on Cinco de Mayo to La Fiesta at a friend’s suggestion. We had never been before and despite it being packed we were able to get a seat pretty quickly without a reservation. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to find the ‘platos vegetarianos’ section. Despite the strain on the kitchen due to all the folks dininng there for their cinco celebrations, the server was fast and the food was ready quickly as well! The margaritas were fine and well priced, the Veggie Quesadilla I got was delicious and filling – a larger portion than I had expected. The side of guac was delicious as well. I would say the food was a cut above the average and at an verage price. The atmosphere I think was only hectic due to the Cinco celebrations but I feel that it would be much more quiet and comfortable on any other day. Ultimately, for our first experience I was very impressed and can see how it would be even better without the chaos of Cinco!

Worst food. I have been a customer of La Fiesta since 2002, I have ceased going there in the past two years because the food quality has become so poor. Also, I asked for a margarita with just tequila, lime juice a splash of club soda and two limes, that is not what i got. The drink was so bad that I thought I was drinking grapefruit juice. I called the mgr to let him know my experience, and all he did was make excuses, no apology. There are too many other good Mexican style rest in Tallahassee, and i will not be giving this business anymore of my hard earned $$$$

Best Mexican food in Tally. The food and variety is better than El Jalisco. They are really good about specializing orders! We will definitely make this our Mexican restaurant of choice.
