This place doesn’t fix commercialized Mexican food….they serve the real deal. Truly authentic. I see more Mexicans eating here than I’ve ever seen at El Jalisco’s or any of the other chains around town. I had the Al Pastor taco and a Carne Asada burrito during this visit. Total came out to $8 and some change. If you want that commercial stuff then hit up a chain. Nothing wrong with that. They have good food and I check them out every now and then myself. But if you want truly authentic Mexican dishes, La Tiendita is where you want to be. Great food, great prices……always a great combination!
Delicioso! We looked it up on US and based on reviews chose it. We are pleasantly filled with authentic Mexican food. Yum! Everyone is extremely friendly. Next time we are in Tallahassee we will eat here.
Chicken Sopes and Lingua Taco. The chicken Sopes were great and the cow tongue was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed these (as well as the ceviche tostada and my fianc’s chicken fajita – not pictured)

Great little Hole in the wall. Very friendly. Very good, maybe the best I’ve had in tally. CERTAINLY the BEST tamales I’ve had.
Excellent and cheap Mexican food. Wow, this place is great. I dropped in to pick up the enchilada with red sauce. They brought complimentary chips and salsa to me while I waited and I have to say, it’s the best salsa I’ve ever had! The enchilada was fantastic. Tallahassee is starting to get some really good ethnic food options (e.g., this place, Kubano). Can’t wait to drop in again!
