Filthy restaurant, awful food. bland, basic Mexican fare. Food brought out not what was advertised on menu. Prices are laughable as well. AVOID.
Slllloooow service, restaurant smelled so bad we had to sit outside even though it was cold. Guacamole looked old and wasn’t appetizing. Beans completely tasteless and cheese wasn’t at all melted in the cheese enchiladas.
Incredibly mediocre service and food. Every item on the menu tastes bland and formulaic (a la Applebee’s). Our (cold) entrees all looked and tasted exactly the same. The waiters are extremely rude and uncooperative. One even threw the chips and salsa at us when we asked for more. The manager(s) don’t seem to care at all about the customers. They are usually drinking at the (substandard) bar. There is much better Mexican food in Tallahassee; and any McDonald’s has better service.

Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant. It’s amazing to me that people find this place as amazing as the reviewers state. Just proves that people today are used to mediocrity and thus think it’s great when it arrives. The food is bland, in fact I would venture to say that they brown the ground beef and add no seasonings whatsoever. In addition the food presentation is plain and devoid of any style. Our burrito arrived on a plate, alone, no parsley, no crumbled cheese on it-just the beige burrito on a beige plate. People also rave about Peppers….OMG, where to start? The ground beef tacos smelled like cat food, they sit you on top of everyone else and the noise is awful. You want real delicious, hot, tasty Mexican food with a stellar staff, beautiful surroundings and a waitstaff that is exceptional? RUN to La Fiesta on Apalachee Pkwy. You will NOT EVER be disappointed in your choice. And to boot, on Saturdays they move aside the tables, give salsa lesson for an hour at 8 then it’s DJ and salsa time! LAST but not least if you text to La Fiesta, they send you daily specials not limited to but including $.99 tacos and 2 4 1 Margaritas, etc. THE best Mexican in Tallahassee!
Long Time Customer. I consider myself a lover of Mexican foods, opting for more spice in my life. Los Amigos has been one of our favorites for 20 years. Hats off to Napo and his team. I would like to suggest that they consider changing a few of their items to offer a couple of side selections, instead of the normal rice and beans. Perhaps a fresh item or two. The cheese dip is awesome! The other suggestions is never serve salad on a plate with an entree. Your plates are heated and hot salad is not good. Always serve it on the side. The new decor is really nice and the deck is wonderful. The smokers ruin it, so that non-smokers can’t enjoy, but that occurs everywhere. Just ban smoking anywhere at restaurants please. The band playing on April 20th was very good! Stayed for the music as well and drank another drink. Good music always works to bring in revenue! Aadvertise Sergio on your board!All in all This is a very good value and a great atmosphere for families with face painting during the week.
Lime koo-laid margarita mix and maybe one shot in the large margarita, really. I felt like I was at my kids bday party. Food was not too bad, average at most.
