The boo and I stopped by for brunch on a Saturday and it was AWESOME. I had chicken and waffles and he had the eggs benny. Both plates were delicious and ridiculously filling. The food was great, but the drinks were even better. The Guinness Bloody Mary was hands down one of the best I’ve had in a while! Totally worth the $10. He had the bloody orange mimosa, which was perfectly sweet and strong. The prices are standard brunch prices, so around 10-25 (depending on whether you get a drink or not). It’s not crazy expensive but it’s also not cheap. Definitely worth any expenses, in my opinion! If we’re ever in town again, we will definitely be back!

Fat Fingers were very tasty. Our server was polite and prompt. Drinks are okay, but too much hipster ingredients like basil, cucumber, etc. Avocado hummus was okay, but pita bread was dry and bland. Beer was $4 for a draft, okay but bartenders did not pour a Black and Tan with layers. Ladies loved the skillet cookies with ice cream. This place is pretty pricey so we don’t go here often. Overall, there are better places to go for dinner but for drinks and hanging out its a clean, spacious venue.

Prior complaints of weak drinks did not deter me, as I thought they were rants of too sober College kids. Wrong. They do only a 3 pour (I watched). I seriously doubt that meets out an ounce and a half as required by law. They do have a rotating menagerie of hip bartenders at the U shaped bar. A very attentive crew and much appreciated, as they tended everyone with grace. My late night menu brought chicken tenders perfectly breaded and fried. Moist and tender in the middle, with a light crust, the Peruvian dipping sauce with fresh jalapeo was warm, savory and delicious. The bartender accommodated a request for more sauce and a go box for leftovers. They have really nicely appointed outdoor dining with large tables to accommodate groups. The ice troughs in the middle would be great to get all your bottle beers brought at once. Otherwise, they are an oddity that creates a huge gap between diners. Perhaps some ice bucket bridges would smooth things out…Well, overall, my take on Madison Social is that it is a Nuevo Cuisine Restaurant masquerading as a bar. I for one, cannot wait to come back for the full menu, as it now promises greatness; and beer or wine instead of cocktails. I would love to dine outside, then stroll over to see Declaration, the beautiful steel and glass sculpture at Woodward and Gaines.

Meh food and service is always a bit off. Madison social is beautiful inside, but something goes wrong with customer service. The price of a beer is higher than advertised, a side doesn’t come out, a server walks right in your path as you are walking out, etc. Its always a hassle to get something fixed, and they always have excuses. It just shows poor customer service. Also the food sounds super interesting but tastes just ok. Like each time you leave, you are thinking ‘that wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great’. Overall a cool place for a drink, but I only eat there if its a business lunch and I’m not paying…

Good drinks, decent food, but the last time we went nobody came to take our order for 30 minutes. We asked one of the employees, and she said someone would be right over, waited another 10 minutes and finally left. This was a Tuesday night and the place wasn’t crowded. Staff is a bunch of young college kids not trained very well. We won’t be coming back.

Nope. Slow service. Not even that great of food. Do the waiters/ waitresses even know how to serve?? I swear it’s like talking to a wall

Innovative menu selections but avoid fried avocados. Slow service. Great atmosphere.
