From the outside it appeared to be very nice. The service was pretty good. The food was okay at best, particularly for what you pay. The steaks were a little dry. They brought the steaks out in au jour which was incredibly salty. They brought our salad dressings and condiments in plastic containers and the table cloth was plastic, which seemed tacky for a place thats supposed to be nice. In addition they were out of the wine and the steak my boyfriend wanted to order. The music was way too pop style for a steakhouse. I was expecting something much more relaxing. It was just lacking in all aspects.

I hadn’t gone to MLS for about a decade; I had stayed from several dismal experiences there. But I thought that it was time to give it another chance. My wife and I got all dressed up and went there. The serving staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, there were two large parties (over ten peole in each party) that made it noisy and crowded. Not surprisingly, our orders were very late in arriving. My coffee was lukewarm. The water was filled once and the server did not return. But that was understandable because of the large parties. However, that was no excuse for the quality of the steaks. My steak was filled with gristle and fat. I kept cutting away the gristle and the pile on my steak kept growing. My wife’s steak was more palatable. She did ask that marinade not be put on the steak. The server said that that was not possible although she was overruled by a manager. I also ordered shrimp. They were large and plentiful but they were also so salty that I left several uneaten. The actual bill was about $75. This cost was among the more expensive in Tallahassee. The cost was simply not in keeping with what was presented. Given the ambience, the presentation, cost and the quality of the steaks and shrimp, I cannot recommend that anyone go to this restaurant.
