One of my favorite indian restaurants in town! It’s a top choice for me when I am really craving indian food. We have always had a good experience and enjoy the flavor!
I finally decided, after 3 years, that Mayuri is the best of the 4 Indian lunch buffets that I have tried in Tallahassee. Lunch today was fantastic! Super flavorful dishes! Not too salty or thinned out like others I have tried. Great selection of both vegetarian and meat dishes. Highly recommended a try!
One sunday afternoon I was hungry and delirious and somehow ended up at the doors of Mayuri. I made my way in and found myself in one of the smallest restaurants I’ve ever been in. It had no more than 8-10 tables and a small lunch buffet to the side. It is rare I find myself at a buffet but I’ve always heard good things about Mayuri and wanted to be able to try a variety of items. Honestly, I don’t remember what all I got because i entered a state of hangry and ate all the things. One item I did get multiple times was the fried chili peppers. It was incredibly crunchy and had a good kick of spice. In the middle of scarfing down my first plate, the waiter brought over some complimentary (what i now know is) Dosa. I didn’t question what it was and why…I just ate it..why question someone who’s GIVING me food. Im guessing its like an indian crepe and it was filled with a little bit of potatoes and peas. It was good but I preferred my plate of food off the buffet. Its great that you can try a variety of different flavors and spice levels. The service was good and attentive and for $11 (weekend buffet) i’ll most likely find myself there again.
The food here is really good. Have had the lunch buffet a couple of times, and it is always good. The ingredients seem to be very good, and they are prepared very authentically. The dining area is very small, so you may have to wait for seating at times. I recommend this to anyone who likes Indian food. not too pricey either.
Don’t judge a book by its cover.. What this restaurant lacks in atmosphere, it certainly makes up for in taste and service. By far my favorite Indian food restaurant in Tally. Although the prices seem high (we’ve only had the dinner and it wasn’t a buffet at that point), the quality of food you get is well worth it. I will be more adventurous with my dish selection now that I know the basic (more popular) dishes are done so well. I have had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken (Makhini), Samosa (not greasy at all and FILLED with veggies and spices), Naan, and Gulab Jamun. Dishes came with a nice serving of Jasmine rice. The service is superb. Every time my 14 month old son would drop something (i.e. his sippy cup, food pouch), the server would rush over and retrieve it. That is above and beyond, in my opinion. Such wonderful hearts. I am excited to have found my go-to place in town for Indian. You should try it, too.
Gummy boy. Excellent buffet. ..lot of varieties to choose from non veg to vegetarian. Seating space are limited wish it was little more space as tables are too close to each other. ..other than that great service and food.
