The food was cold, no one asked how anything was or checked on us and it was just bad lol. Won’t go back and I won’t be recommended to anyone else. Worst experience and I work in the restaurant business so it’s not that hard.
Three visits and three problems. Imagine for a moment the menu has hundreds of choices but everything you picked they gave you a tuna fish sandwich. Well this is about what your drink choices are like. I went, paid extra for iced coffee, yet the choice I wanted was not available. Another time I went I wanted Rootbeer and the syrup was empty. The third visit the CO2 was out and they said I could have tea. If you go here for food it is amazing, and its one of the only places I know that has tater tots. But it is hopeless if you want a beverage to wash it down. Either they 100% only care about the incoming customers to take care of the customers they already have or no one here knows how to take care/work the beverages. I worked at a movie theater and know it takes less than a minute to change syrup and CO2. Although the food is good, I must have a beverage to wash it down. Fix this huge problem and a rating change will most likely result.
Great looking food, but the flavors don’t deliver! My wife and I did half and half on The Roscoe (a chicken and waffle sandwich) and Darby Crash (a roast beef sandwich). With The Roscoe, the fried chicken and bottom waffle piece were soggy and the entire thing just fell apart when you tried to pick it up. The Darby Cash just had too many competing flavors that tainted the sandwich, from the brie to the ground mustard, the caramelized onions, to the lemon horseradish sauce, all good on their own, did not work well together. We also tried the Buffalo Chicken Chowder, unexpectedly, yet predictably it tasted like buffalo wing sauce with bits of chicken, not my favorite in soup form. The best thing we had was the Sweet Potato Tots, I have no complaints with them.
A must try! Sandwiches to die for, I had the darby crash with turkey which was a great choice and tater tots are a must! Also really recommend the buffalo chicken soup.
So disappointed :(. Maybe our first mistake was already thinking so highly of a place we had never been before. The second mistake was spending a little over $23 for food I could have better made/cooked at home. Who doesn’t like a good grilled cheese?… Especially when you can add ingredients such as caramelized onions and roast beef. My hubby got the Darby Crash and it wasn’t even warm all the way through. I ordered the caprese, which was supposed to have pesto, fresh mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil and a balsamic reduction. What I got was not even close- and NOT melted. There was no fresh basil, the mozzarella was anything but fresh and the tomato was mealy. The cheese grits were so bland and it was easy to tell they were just plain grits with shredded cheddar added after the fact. I wanted so badly to like this place, but after today we are taking our hard earned money elsewhere.
