I don’t mind paying a $$$ price for BBQ if its good. I understand 1. its mostly meat you’re getting 2. The cook/prep time is usually a lot longer than a regular restaurant. That said.. I was kind of disappointed with Mo Betta. We ordered their brisket, fried sausage and ribs. The sausage is good, and the ribs were decent (I agree w. Ben K about the smoke ring comment) but the brisket…we wanted to like it..but it was so fatty that we ended up not finishing. All the fat in the brisket made you nauseous and the whole meal just ended up being super greasy. I want to like this place and may try it once more before giving up on them.

It’s decent BBQ. Could it really taste the meat because they covered it in really really sweet bbq sauce. Sausage was good and the sides were just ok. This place has really nothing to rave about. 4 Rivers is still king of the city.

Not recommended. I’ve been here a few times. The BBQ is usually decent but not special. I stopped by for lunch last Thursday and was very disappointed. I ordered a third pound of brisket and a regular order of ribs with no sides. The brisket was sloppily chopped and so fatty it was almost inedible. If the cooks cared enough to pay attention, it could have been better. The ribs on the other hand were extremely tough and seemed as if they were smoked way too fast. Virtually no smoke ring was visible. Definitely not worth the $17 it cost me…sad to say the highlight of the meal was the bread that came with the ribs. I hope Mo Betta gets it together.

Best BBQ in tally!. I work at a hotel down the road…I’m always recommending my guests to go there! My favorite is the brisket and fried sausage. …and there baked beans are a must!!! I love this place!

Yum@. Stopped in to feed the family. fast and Dee-licious! The smoked sausage is superb and the chicken moist and tender. plus sitting outside on a nice day trumps waiting in line at a chain restaurant. stop by when you see the smoke…you’ll be glad you did.

Never there. Been there four days in a row an haven’t been able to get served, the last time they closed due to rain, the time before they had a sign up that said open an another sign saying now open Sundays till 5 but there was no one there working, really wanted to try this place but apparently they don’t work their posted hours

Who would think?. Who would think some of the best BBQ in Tallahassee would be in the parking lot of a gas station? Don’t pass this up! Mo is a great guy and his wife and son both work there. Moo is funny
