Have eaten at the other ones in town and they are great, but the food here just wasn’t as good, maybe it was because they had just opened and were still trying to get everything together? Might try it again just to see.
The quality of the steak has gone down, and I don’t think I will ever order it again. I opened my to-go box at home to discover that it was basically all fat with little meat, not what I paid for. Pretty disappointed.
BAD MANAGEMENT. Ordered Hibachi Chicken and they brought me steak, my son ordered spicy chicken and after 25 minutes and even talking with the kitchen staff we had to walk out and request credit for his entry. Cashier couldn’t print a receipt showing the credit. We observed the back and forward orders that were wrong and the commotion between servers and kitchen staff. When my son was talking with kitchen staff and older gentlemen was trying for him to take and order that was not his. This is my last visit to this location and I must let all those that I get in contact the lack of customer service, kitchen management. Just stay away and support business that care of those who bring the $$$$$$ to them………it’s call customer service…………..
Service here was fantastic! I went to eat here the night before thanksgiving and the accidentally shorted my order of double shrimp hibachi. The manager came over and apologized and quickly got me more shrimp and told me that my entree was on the house. The food was great and the service was top notch. I will definetly be coming back.
Meh. I went there today. I expected sushi, but there wasn’t any, which I was ok with. The cashier recommended the Hibachi steak, which I tried, with white rice and salad. They have an interesting bar with a lot of different sauces to try, so I tried the spicy yum yum, ginger, miso, and teriyaki sauces.When I got my food, I was pretty dissapointed. It was very little steak, fluffy white rice, (I prefer the sticky rice served with most asian food.) and lettuce on my plate. Having been given the option of double rice, steamed veggies, or salad, I expected more than just lettuce, with no dressing. I used the ginger sauce and miso on my lettuce, and it was ok. I prefer to eat with chop sticks, so the fluffy rice wasn’t very good to me, plus it was flavorless and I had to add a lot of sauce to it.I just wasn’t very impressed. I could’ve made that at home better. It’s a good place with a decent value for kids, but for a cook, it’s nothing at all special.
Ok, so, I usually review Korean restaurants that I try and now that this new Roboto has opened, I can do just that. I often eat at the Mr. Roboto restaurants by campus and my usual order is a sushi bowl, so I was upset to find out that this one didn’t have sushi. However, I was overjoyed when I heard that they had Korean food, so I immediately had to try it. They offer two Korean selections: bulgogi and kalbi, both of which are iconic or Korean cuisine. Kalbi is my favourite food and isn’t offered at the Korean restaurant in Tallahassee (though you can get it as an appetiser at Kitcho and pretty good frozen at Trader Joes). I also got kimchi along side my kalbi, which was fairly good, though it had a bit too many onions. The kalbi itself was good, the only thing I was a little disappointed by was the fact that it was a little less sweet than traditional kalbi, though it was definitely good for its price. The only thing I didn’t like about the restaurant itself is that, given its side of town, it has more of a family atmosphere (i.e. There are kids here) as opposed to the more social-seeming setting of the locations by campus. Over all, very good.
