Their service isn’t the greatest. The girls who run the counter always seem to be grumpy. The food is amazing though! Their pita fries with tzatziki is to die for! It’s definitely a place I go to every time I’m in Tally!
Food is very good but maybe a little on the pricey side, but that’s Tallahassee for you. Always consistent service. However, I came in maybe 10 times in a row to get the special lamb shawarma (advertised huge on the board) but they never had it!
It’s okay…. I used to eat here pretty often in college, but the food isn’t as good as Little Athens now that I have compared the two. Sometimes the chicken is overcooked, or the pitas are served cold or greasy. Lamb kabobs are good if they are available, grilled fresh with rosemary. Portions are a good size, and prices are reasonable. I can’t recommend it though because of the food inconsistency.
Delicious, craving some pitaria right now! Everyone needs to try this joint.
I have had two completely opposite experiences here. The first time I came the food was amazing. It was fresh, well seasoned, and not over salted. The second time I came the food was atrocious. I ordered a chicken fajita pita and with each bite I felt like I was eating a spoon full of salt. After three bites i returned my food and was given a full refund.
Bland, poor service. Service goes a long way with me, and this place is severely lacking. College students that could care less, combined with bland, generic food makes Pitaria definitely a place to avoid in my opinion. The guys in the back aren’t wearing hairnets, are sweating profusely, and are munching on food while making YOUR food. Grossed me out.
Great place for a quick bite to eat in between classes. I had always wanted to try them out, and I’m glad I did. totally unassuming sign that displays out to the street- you’d walk right by the place… if wasn’t for that intoxicating aroma that emanates from inside. I ordered the Gyro Royale- simply amazing. The Simplicity and the attention to detail to each of the ingredients that goes into each of their Gyros makes a difference, and I ended up eating the best gyro I’ve ever had, hands down.
