In short, a great experience. Most of the reviews here are a few years old and if they were accurate at the time, then Ruby’s seems to have gotten their act together. We went for breakfast. I got the Ruby’s Rise and Shine Breakfast which consists of 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns (actually home fries) or grits, and two pancakes. My wife ordered a western omelet. The food was generally pretty tasty. The pancakes were the weakest item. They were light and fluffy, but are probably a standard mix with nothing added to make them anything special. As noted above, what they call hash browns are actually what most places call home fries – diced and fried potatoes. The omelet was cooked properly and they didn’t skimp on the ham. The biscuit was big and fluffy, but I think it came with an upcharge. Coffee was good. They only had sugar and pink (ugh) sweetener in the sweetener container, but we travel with our own Splenda and Truvia, so that was okay. They did have Mini-Moos (half and half) instead of Coffee Mate which is a good thing. None of this is particularly cheap, tho. Our breakfast bill approached $27 for the two of us. Add a (well deserved) tip and we were well over $30.The place is bright and clean. Our server, Jorge, was friendly, attentive, and efficient. He handled several tables by himself without difficulty. While we had no issues with our food, the table behind us found a problem with their order. Jorge apologized, got the error corrected quickly, and the customers seemed happy with the corrected order. All in all, if you’re looking for a good traditional breakfast, you really can’t go wrong. We don’t live nearby, so we won’t be regulars, but we probably will go again, maybe for lunch or dinner next time.

Update! Was very excited when we saw this place was opening , since it is close to my abode, but was disappointed when we ate here. It was just very plain. Still edible, but just plain. Probably try them again.Tried them again last weekend and the food was better. So I also gave them a better rating
