Let me first say that neither my wife nor I are Indian food aficionados. We had family in town and they wanted to try this place because they like Indian food and it was close to their hotel. We were here on a Wednesday night and the place was nearly empty.I believe the restaurant fancies itself a fine dining establishment, but doesn’t quite pull it off. That being said, the atmosphere is pleasant enough, if a bit dated. Our server was also pleasant enough, but not a great server. He was a middle-aged gentleman and my experience has shown that that particular demographic often doesn’t make for the best servers. They are sometimes really great, but most often not. The one and only thing we asked for other than our food (a straw) never arrived. Once the food was delivered to the table, he never came back to check on us. One of the forks wasn’t quite clean, which can happen anywhere, but since the server didn’t come back, we were forced to snag another set of silver from a nearby table. The menu is quite extensive and it takes a bit of time to go through the entire thing. I finally decided on the Chicken Tikka Masala and my wife chose the Chicken Biryani which is a rice based dish. She chose mild heat while I chose the medium. They seem to have that down as the heat level seemed right to me. I could have used a bit more white rice to go with my dish and probably would have ordered some if the server had shown back up to check on us. My wife’s dish was primarily rice and there was a lot of it, but both dishes were a bit light on the chicken content. The paltry amount of chicken notwithstanding, the dishes were good. Was it good Chicken Biryani or Chicken Tikka Masala? Not sure, but we enjoyed it. And we enjoyed the leftover Chicken Biryani the next day.The server brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert, but one of our dining companions asked about dessert. They had two – rice pudding and mango ice cream. The couple with us each got rice pudding which they said was good. It looked a bit watery to my eye, but if it tasted good, I guess that’s what counts. My wife and I shared a mango ice cream. There was plenty to share. The flavor was fine, but it had ice crystals on it as if it had been open in the freezer for too long. The prices seem high to me considering the type of food. The website menu does not show prices and the menu photos above are incomplete and out of date as most of the prices on our menus had been raised by writing over the existing prices with a red pen. You’ll be hard pressed to find many entrees under $15 and most were closer to $20. Tip to owner: Get some new menus printed – yours look tacky. All in all, an unremarkable dining experience made enjoyable mostly by the fact we were dining with family we hadn’t seen in quite some time. All negatives aside, at least the food was tasty.

Stay away from here. You’ve got to read this fully. Today we went for the buffet. It was devoid of taste in all dishes. Even the nan and tandoori chicken were tasteless and old. Both were rubbery. I witnessed through the kitchen door that she, the owner, was dropping food on the ground while stocking the buffet. So, we stopped eating and I waited till there were no customers at the check out counter so I could go talk to her privately about the food and her handling of it. When I approached, she asked how things were and I asked her if I could be truthful with her about our experience today. She said yes please do. So I attempted to quietly share the issues with the lady at the register, who is an owner, when she immediately started yelling at me openly in front the whole restaurant and even involved other customers by yelling to them to tell me the food is good and fresh. The customers, other Indians, all held their heads down in shame at what she was doing and they would not agree with her. Which made her increasingly angry towards us. One of them plead with her to be peaceful and calm down, but she got more openly mad. Since she was getting no support from customers, she then started calling cooks out of the kitchen to come yell at me. Picture this scene: She was yelling at me and my four little children, ages 7, 11, 12, and 14, one boy and three precious little girls, who were now scared half to death of her open hateful demeanor towards us, and were cowering behind me. Then she incites her kitchen staff, all males, to come out and join in her fear mongering towards me and my little children, who at this point thought I was going to be beat up by four people. And over what? A quiet and peaceful critisism about the food and her dropping it on the floor. I could not even leave and get my children to safety because she was holding my credit card hostage while she was screaming at us. Then she threw the card at me, hitting me in the arm, and slammed the receipt down for me to sign, which I did. $44 for a few bites of terrible food and to be assaulted and struck by the owner. Before I could get my 4 frightened little children out of there she took one more yelling fit at us, still trying to incite customers and staff, and then yelled at me that we were banned. At this point, other patrons were still telling her to be peaceful. But she would not. She was out of control. I guess she could not handle the truth that she gave me permission to share with her.Needless to say, the food was very bad! Dreedful, in fact! It was old, cold, unsafe, and devoid of taste. The food handling and all food temperatures were obviously putting customers at risk. We hardly touched our plates and she scared my children who could not calm down for hours after that frightening experience. Obviously the only thing worse than the food here was this unreasonable and uncontrolled owner who is in charge of the register and stocking the buffet. A woman who threatened me and my little children with her outbursts of open unbridled anger. Don’t go here under any circumstances and warn your friends. Especially those with little children. She is a horrible owner and a beastly woman who cared nothing about the hearts of 4 little children and a helpless parent who didn’t like her food and caught her unscrupulous food handling and hygiene practices.
