Best Bakery in Tally!. The Cake Shop has hands down the best cupcakes anywhere around Tallahassee! I never go anywhere else when I get a sweet tooth (which is often). Stop by – you won’t be disappointed!
Best Desserts in Town. The Cake Shop is and always has been my favorite stop for the most delicious cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pastries! I’ve never been disappointed in the service or quality of their products and use them as my #1 go-to for all my special occasion treats. I wish I could bottle up the sweet aroma of the store itself as is so intoxicating!
Cake shop cut both ways, some products are really good while some are just taste nasty, the sour cream pond cake is perfect, just like home made, however, the red velvet cake is no good, the baker need to take lessons and perfect the craft on red velvet cakes. I ordered red velvet cake for my husbands 40th birthday and it was dry and nothing to write home about. Red velvet cake should be fluffy and moist, not dry, the red velvet cupcakes are not better either. It just need more moisture to it and it would be perfect. Also some of the staff are very rude. I called in one Monday morning to enquire about a product and the staff that answered the phone was very rude to me, not professional at all. Overall, I would rate cake shop 3 on a scale on 0-5.
Charming. This shop has great potential due to the delightful bakery ambiance. The shop itself is charming but the baked goods failed to deliver. A little too commercial tasting. Disappointing, overall.
Best hummingbird cupcake, bar none!
Not the same. Was disappointed by the quality of the cakes at this location. They have new owners (different from the John Knox location), and it certainly shows in the taste and quality of the cake. Cake is dry and unflavored.
