Such a hidden gem, this place might be a little pricey but the food is well worth it. A fresh menu with wholesome ingredients. The atmosphere is great, so welcoming and the service is wonderful. The apple and Brie turkey Panini was super flavorful, the bread was toasted perfectly. Would highly recommend this place for a fresh delicious lunch.

Cute atmosphere and good food but service was BAD! My daughter (on crutches) ordered inside and was assisted outside by the cashier- who brought our order marker and drinks outside. I joined her and we waited over a half hour without any food. We noticed they were closing soon so I asked the man wiping down the window if our food was on the way. It was our first time and didn’t know if the food generally took this long. Within a few minutes, the co-owner came out and said she had no idea what happened to our order. She retook our order and said it would be out shortly. After receiving our food, the only other person to check on us was the server with the bill which was $80 for brunch. The young man who was washing the window was the only one to acknowledge us and that was when he was on his way out. The food was good but we will not be back because of how we were neglected.

Not often we fall in love. I am originally from tallahassee ….and am always a bit out of the loop re great places to dine when in town from manhattan…. we had an absolutely fabulous Brunch w our family and friends with great service … this is the first review I have ever written for a restaurant but we LOVED it (*and have seen a lot of amazing food in a lot of amazing places ). Thanks for giving us an unexpected delight in tally …..

Give it a shot. Seeing some of the more negative reviews, I thought I’d give my two cents. If you haven’t been, ignore the negativity and give this place a shot for lunch. The atmosphere is nice but it can get crowded. I suggest beating the rush. Try the pimento cheese and pancetta sandwich or the prime rib sandwich. The have the best sandwich bread I’ve had in town. The soup is fresh made. You can taste the attention to quality ingredients. I only go occasionally due to the price, but I think it’s better than some of these reviews indicate.

Rude Rude Rude Employee……. The larger female employee behind the counter felt the need to critique each order. She aggressively lectured each individual as why no cheese is a bad decision and why ‘mexican coke’ is better than ‘bottled coke’. I’ve never heard an employee at a restaurant talk like this to a customer. My boss doesn’t even talk to me like this, let alone an employee at a ‘higher end’ restaurant. Such a huge disappointment, will never go back.

Great place. This little gem will introduce you to flavor combinations you didn’t realize could be amazing – preserves and salami on chicken salad? Don’t mind if i do. Locally owned with a friendly staff. Everyone in Tallahassee ought to try the Paisley Cafe.

Unpleasant experience. My girlfriend and I came in for Sunday brunch, and the restaurant was very busy. We had heard good things about this place so we decided to stay and give it a shot. When we placed our order, the staff was friendly and pleasant. My girlfriend ordered the sample platter, and I ordered the Blackstone Benedict. With two coffees and gratuity, our total came out to $44. We waited over an hour for our food while other diners who came in long after us received theirs. When we did get our food, it was far from satisfactory. Portions were small, especially for the price, and much of the food was cold. The mixed berries that came with the sampler consisted of two blackberries and a handful of Craisins. The quiche was ice cold. The scones were very doughy. The Gouda grits were warm but bland without the slightest hint of Gouda. The poached eggs and hollandaise sauce that came with my Blackstone Benedict were cold. We left hungry. I understand waiting for food, especially if the restaurant is busy and if the food is made to order. However, if I am going to pay that much money and wait that long for food, I expect a decent return on my investment. We are never coming back.
