It is really not good & has issues with both service & food. A sampling: Not enough staff at noon, no napkins, icky mealy tomatoes, taziki sauce just tastes like sour cream, still have stomach ache 3 hours later. Good idea but execution needs major improvement.
Bad reviews? Really??. We love the Pita Pit! I think it’s a case of knowing what you’re getting into. This is NOT a Greek restuarant. It’s a sandwich shop that serves their sandwiches in pitas. We tend to think of it as an alternative to Subway. We’ve had excellent service every time we go. The servers go out of their way to meet our various special orders. I always get the fork style (salad), my husband gets the pita and we’ve NEVER been disappointed.
Quite the shame… The food quality simply wasn’t there; assembled by folks that couldn’t care less. Head down the street to Little Athens Gyro. Massively superior food, prepared with love.
I was excited when this first opened but was disappointed. I love the idea of a 24 hour pita place but the quality is too low. It’s pretty much cheap fast food. The pita is bland white bread, the meat is low quality, the toppings are unexciting. Very bland and cheap food.
Poor alternative. This is not a great option if you’re looking for quality over quantity. The chicken gives me the creeps. It tastes like cheap, packaged, refridgerated chicken bits. And the veggie options are boring. I don’t like Subway, but if I’m looking for a forgetable sandwich, I’d rather go there. At least there, I know what I’m getting myself into. And if I’m looking for a pita, you’ll find me at The Pitaria.
