Small wine selection for sure, but you won’t be disappointed by the options. Food is always superb, service never less than fantastic. Surprisingly loud for an outdoor venue, but worth it every time.
The setup is great, but the place could really be improved if they played good music to match the environment and had bartenders who knew how to make a proper drink.
I’m shocked they can even call themselves the Wine Loft with such a paltry selection of wines by the glass. I’ve given this place four chances now, and have been disappointed by the service and drinks every time. Do not let the name deceive you; there are far better wine selections elsewhere in Tallahassee.
Superb. Staff is super friendly, and they have an amazing wine selection (obviously). I really enjoy sitting on the balcony before the sun goes down and drinking a light chilled white with my girls 🙂
I enjoyed the Wine Loft last night. There is an upstairs, outdoor dining area with bar and lounge furniture, as well as high tables that overlook Thomasville Rd. The focus is on their diverse wine list, but we went anticipating their small plate menu. The trio of spreads, including our favorite, a garlicy hummus, served with pita strips was a good way to start. We ordered the two main meat items, the lamb lollies with mint pesto and the filet skewers that came with three sauces; quite tasty and decent portions. I was also interested in their ever-changing cheese plate and their tots with truffle oil. It is a bit awkward to get service up there. There was one bartender who both manned the bar and came around pouring wine and every once in a while, passing out food from downstairs. That was fine for us because we came expecting to lounge about for a few hours. We appreciated their happy hour from 5-8 and thought the pomegranate martini pitcher was a good bargain. Topped off with a surprisingly good cheese cake, we had a nice night at the Wine Loft.
