Wahoo is excellent. I’ve never been disappointed and I’ve been frequenting this place since they opened their doors to the public. Friendly staff all around, great atmosphere, live music, awesome specials, crazy good food! What’s not to love?
Slowest service I have ever had in Tallahassee (they were not busy). Food was not what I expected as it tasted and looked like frozen seafood from a grocery store. Asked server for check and it tok her 20 minutes. Got mad when we wanted to pay by credit card saying it was more work for her and the place does not like payment by cards. After 2 1/2 hours in the restaurant, we finally were able to leave.

**FOOD POISONING**Here’s my story: I came here for a birthday party & did not have a good experience. The waitress was initially disappointed that she had to do separate tickets for everyone because it was a large group of people. She also pointed out in front of my friends that I was on a ticket alone while everyone else had a date. My date had a softball game and was arriving late so my bad. I could just be an independent woman. You don’t know. But whatever. I ordered chicken tenders and not only were they burnt but they served them with horseradish sauce upside down. I don’t even like this sauce and there it was all over my precious tenders. My date finally arrives. Great. He got the all you can eat crab legs. It took 45 minutes to get butter delivered. When it was finally brought to us, it was cocktail sauce. Not butter. We finally got our checks. Fabulous. We left. 8 hours later, my boyfriend was vomiting up his all you can eat crablegs all night long. I’m on my lunch break and I can hear him still vomiting from the other room. It really put a damper on my sleeping schedule last night. Would not recommend.
Extremely slow service. Wasn’t impressed by the seafood. The crab bisque was very good. I believe the wait staff was new because in a 1.5 hour service I received one glass of water until we were about the leave and she asked if i needed a refill.
Decided to go to Wahoo today for lunch. I ordered the Beef Po’ Boy , Boom Boom Shrimp and a build your own salad to go. The Beef Po’ Boy was not good at all. The first bite I took was a mouthful of fat. The mango salad dressing was terrible and the chicken that was on the salad was extremely dry. It seemed to me that the only person that knew what was going on was the bartender. I had a Mai Tai while I waited for my order it wasn’t the best but it also wasn’t the worst. They really need to retrain some of the employees on their menu. One last thing as you pull up to the building you are greeted by two dumpsters and I guess their garbage area. Not the best thing to see on a first impression.
Wahoo’s is a new seafood restaurant in Tallahassee located just before you get to the Wal-Mart on N. Monroe but on the opposite side. It’s huge on the inside…..nice and country-like….which is great to me cause I’m a country boy! The food we ordered was tasty but this place flat out SUCKS when it comes to cost!!! They are SEVERELY overpriced! The huge seafood boils are priced decently but everything else is highway robbery. You’d do better at Crystal River, Wharf’s, Catfish Pad or Harry’s. Consider this: Their 2 item fried seafood platter is $17.99. I wanted shrimp and catfish. The waitress said I’d get a half of a catfish filet. HALF??!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!! I CAN’T GET A WHOLE PIECE OF FISH???!!!!! Harry’s Seafood charges you the exact same price for their combo platter, which gives you 3 items plus larger portions, AND is a fancier restaurant. I ended up settling for the fried catfish for $14.99 which DID come with a full filet. If you want to enjoy a live atmosphere then by all means, check it out. Just remember, you could do MUCH better price wise at every other seafood restaurant in town.
