I’m MY opinion……..there is no better burger place in town. I know that’s subjective……everybody’s taste buds are different……but I can not think of any place that specializes in hamburgers that can beat this joint. Vertigo? Ummmm, that’s a no. 5 Guys? They’re great but they’re a chain AND don’t have the variety Wells Brothers does. The burgers are cooked to order so none of that heating lamp b.s. They have vegetarian options for those that prefer to commit food blasphemy lol…..and they also have Sunday Ticket if you want to catch your favorite NFL team duking it out on Sundays. I’ve been to Monk’s numerous times and as long as they keep doing burgers and service right, that’ll never change.
Traveling on business I found myself near Wells Brothers. I had stopped once before but was limited on time and the line was long. Now I know why. I was greeted as I entered. Something that should be standard right? Unfortunately though not so. My server had a great knowledge of the menu, and since this as my 1st time here, took the time to go over the crowd favorites. The burgers really are good, maybe nor the best I’ve ever had, but worth the trip. If your looking for a little taste of Tallahassee, you need to stop in.
I had the Italian Stallion which has pepperoni, mozzarella and marinara sauce on the hamburger and it was very tasty. My only complaint was that the actual hamburger could have used a little more seasoning but they made up for it with their delicious French fries! Even their sweet tea was great!
Always great service and amazing burgers. If you’re adventurous, I recommend the lip smacker. It has peanut butter on it and is the best thing in the world. I also recommend splurging the 35 cents for the strawberry jam as well. It’s very good!
I was sitting in my hotel room with my wife and kids Trying to figure out what we were going to eat. Keep in mind we were dead tried from a 8 hour drive. We walked in to wells brothers and all I can say is wow. Staff is very friendly and the food was great. Talk about a bang for your buck. Great beer selection just all and all a great place. Will most likely be back tomorrow.
Pretty great place wouldn’t say the burgers are amazing but they are pretty good. The pulled pork is amazing we had it on top of nachos. Huge menu with lots of burger creations, wraps, salads and sandwiches. Will be back! Service was also great. The ad burger will be the reason I go back, I would recommend getting you burger medium or medium rare cause they tend to over cook it a little.
One of my favorite places to eat in Tallahassee. The burgers are really good (try the Ad burger!). The place is tiny and the food can take a while, but it’s worth it.
