Wish we had found this long ago. When you walk into a restaurant on a busy Friday night without reservations and not only do they accommodate you, but make you feel welcome, then you know its going to be a good experience. Fra Diavolo was just that and immediately after they seated us, piping hot garlic bread and an antipaso was delivered to whet our appetites. House wine at a reasonable price arrived shortly while we decided on Veal Parm and Veal Marsala for the mains. Both were preceded by a fresh house salad with a serve- yourself boat of house creamy Italian. I like to be able to moderate the amount of dressing I get and this is a classy way of doing it. Both veals were delicious and even the spaghetti side was perfect. Our waiter was obviously experienced and checked back with us to make sure everything was OK. But even more surprising, the young busboy obviously wanted to please and showed the same attentiveness. Desert was fittingly good, spumoni and a homemade pistashcio-chocolate cake, which we shared to each make an ala-mode. We visit Ft. Lauderdale frequently and will make a point of comng to Fra Diovolo next visit.
