California Style Cuisine in Tampa. Even though New York City has some California cuisine establishments, the shortened version, Cali, brings regional Colombian victuals to the NY mind. Truthfully, I favor the fare that was served at the closed Ciccio’s Lodge. On 06/28/2014, my spouse, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I dined at this Ciccio Cali restaurant. I had a craft beer on draught and the Big Tuna Bowl with brown rice. The ahi tuna was properly rare and the bowl was clean at meal’s end. Still, a beef burger cooked to medium temperature would have been my preference. Every other member of our group professed satisfaction with Cali cuisine. Wistfully, I dreamed of an air-conditioned Ciccio’s Lodge while eating outdoors on this steamy evening at Ciccio Cali.
Tried for first time and we loved it! Great atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. Everything on the menu is healthy and good. We’ll be back.

Fantastic!. Thai bowl w/sticky and chicken…devoured, chicken Marsala pizza…delicious, kids wrap…simple but inhaled by daughter! Will definitely drive to a not so favorite part of town to eat again!
Beef broccoli bowl with squash was amazing
Bland at best. Just as a warning, I am not really a fan of the Ciccio circuit of restaurants. That being said I wanted to give Cali a try since it was basically the replacement for The Lodge which I considered to be one of their better establishments. Unfortunately I was very unimpressed with the experience. First off we were going to order a gyro only to find out no gyro meat is actually placed in the wrap (no gyro meat in a gyro?…why is it called a gyro?) Instead we ordered a chicken quesadilla wrap and a half moon fish taco bowl. The bowl was very bland and the fish was indiscernible from chicken. The chicken quesadilla wrap tasted like someone haphazardly thew a packet of fajita mix into the chicken. Put simply the wrap was incredibly salty. Considering the price and the underwhelming quality I would suggest passing on this newest Ciccio establishment.
Great food and atmosphere, nice addition to tampa palms. The spicy Brazilian bowl and Thai bowl are awesome. Very fresh and healthy food, live music also. We will be back.
