JJA. This resteraunt has a TERRIBLE customer service issue. If you think you can avoid it by simply ordering your Excessivley EXPENSE plate to go, you are in for a reality check. Our family used to go on a regular basis, and have ceased to go COMPLETELY. The employees have a contagious and viral attitude and make the once great tasting cuisine, into not so good food. YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR HERE.

DO not go to this place. The food was awful and the service was pitiful…save your money and go elsewhere.

Sad. When a restaurant’s owner turns away several customers 20 minutes before their posted closing time. I will never go back.

Ivan Garcia. Truly, La Casona Restaurant in Tampa is a jewel among Latin cuisines — in every respect!

Consistent delicious food. The masts at times a bit tough but all is Delicioso! You come for the consistent delicious food and make your own atmosphere. We go to many places where they are all over you and we complain right? They just added more Waiting staff which have personalities. The young men which own the place are never welcoming even if you’ve frequented numerous times. Get over that and just enjoy the food. My friends won’t go there but I don’t cook island food and they are the best Puertorriquen restaurant un Tampa right now.Buen provecho.

We found the service to be very good but were not happy with the quality of the food. W’e’ ordered monfongo with pork rinds well while eating we noticed no crunhiness when ee asked thw waiter he said they had run out of the pork, should have told us. My partner ordered the paella which was overly salty and the rice was quite mushy. The snapper filet ws small in size and vey salty ,not too mention frozen. Forty-seven dollars later we realized that we should have gone down the road to the latin csafeteria style restaurant and been much happier with the food while saving a few bucks.

The best mofongo. I travel one hour to eat here but totally worth it. Their mofongo with shrimp is my favorite.
